I was going to tell you this previously, but now seems as though it would be a good time.
I drank guava nectar once, it was absolutely disgusting. I made everyone I knew try it without telling them first that it had a slightly moldy aftertaste.
Maybe guava is better in fruit form than in pure juice.

Haha, sorry for your experience with my namesake Hydrangea. For my part I prefer the blue versions of this plant.
I've only ever had the juice and I like it. If the aftertaste was moldy are you quite sure the nectar was fresh?
