Dunno what the green thing is but the texture is kinda like a squash or firm melon, it has light veins through its tissue and soft seeds, and it tastes like zucchini. The cook said it was some sort of Mexican vegetable, so maybe scapegrace or Phthlaadkjhaj08eaefehdfh398 know its name. The white stuff at top is hominy, and the diced yellow things at the bottom mixed with chicken were probably rutabaga (something about them wasn't quite potato-like). This was from a buffet I tried today that seems to rotate between various Latin American cuisines. Today's menu was Ecuadorian.

Venison, green stuff, plenty of cayenne, tomato & bacon dressing that's better here than on a salad, plus other odds and ends. A dandy juncture of savory and spicy with a hint of the smoky and sweet.

I made sweet pototoes, broccoli, and goat gouda.

I picked it up on the way home from work because I read this thread at work.

I cheated though. The sweet potatoes were in plastic to microwave them. and I cooked the broccoli for a few just to boil any germs because I didn't feel like scrubbing them in the sink.
the goat gouda is ...really good.
all together it was pretty decent.

I used the broccoli water to put in my tea after boiling it for a while.... #IthinkI'mdoingthisallwrong...

Reminds me I need to go to the grocery store. Yesterday I had four slices of pizza and a six pack.
