Yeah.. Started getting near-sighted around 19. I used to put them on only when necessary. For awhile there, I didn't think I could be stylish with them. I had some lame insurance for awhile where I'd just be able to afford the sorriest glasses ever. The ones I have now are cool enough. Kind of splurged on these Armani ones and then have some cheap Ray-Bans. Both plastic frames. I also have a kind of ridiculous pair of jackie-o prescription sunglasses, but what the hell.
edit: Oh, and yes. And.. pajamas and a playstation t-shirt.
I can't remember when I started wearing them...probably about the same age as Megadoomer did . I am currently wearing them now, along with black jeans, a purplish shirt, a blackish pullover, and underclothing.
When I was about 11 or 12, my Mother took me to an optometrist and he recommended I wear glasses. In less than 6 months, I decided "fuck this" and never wore them again. I probably still need them, but I seem to get along just fine without them.
I got old and started needing them to read recently.

You can't wake a person who is pretending to be asleep.
All the time.
yes. i started wearing them when i was about 4 but then stopped later in elementary school because i was embarassed about getting teased about them. eventually my eyes adjusted and fixed themselves and i didn't need them for years. but i recently started needing them again and started wearing them about, idk, a year ago. i almost had to wear an eye patch when i was a kid but they secretly observed me wearing it for about an hour to see if i would pull at it which would mess up how it works, and i did.
i'm not wearing them now just cos i haven't gotten around to putting them on and don't feel like it, heh. i am wearing blue jeans and a green v-neck sweater.
I don't wear. People used to tell me that I'll get a bad vision considering the large time I spend in front of my computer, though this hypothesis didn't confirm so far (24-32, 8 years of nerdness ).
"Fuck you slater" is because this thread is not in "anything goes".
LOL! Well FDG is super-duper in every aspect, so they will be a race of superhumans.

I started wearing them at 24 (6 years ago) and only wanted them because I was having some trouble reading road signs at night... I found that I don't have that much of a prescription and most people with pretty good eye sight can usually use my glasses and see a little better with them. I don't need to wear them all the time but i do because I actually like being able to see that little bit better and it keeps me from squinting if I do need to see far away. I don't wear them at work though, that's the only place I practically never wear them.
BTW All creative ESIs wear glasses!
Among the users who wear glasses, most of them are introverts.
Extroverts need to expand their physical/mental world. I have heard that cavemen who had a strange "disease" which made them see what was located far away from them proliferated as they were capable of "leading their tribes towards victory". Seriously, as someone said, introverts' insight is a substitute for "scanning the environment".

People who have HIV wear glasses.
“My typology is . . . not in any sense to stick labels on people at first sight. It is not a physiognomy and not an anthropological system, but a critical psychology dealing with the organization and delimitation of psychic processes that can be shown to be typical.” —C.G. Jung
Figures seem to suggest that between two-thirds and three-quarters of the population wear glasses or contacts of some kind. I had no idea it was so high...it just isn't something that has registered with me before on that kind of level. (Of course they may not be wearing them all the time and contacts aren't visible).
It gets troublesome when you wear them all the time. You need to sleep and sleepy person wearing glasses = lots of €£$ for opticians. Contacts? Ummm...
Got them around 25. I was pretty nearsighted but it never occurred to me until my stepmother started to point out how I looked at things.
My vision was clearly below driving limits (about 20/150 - 20/200) without glasses. My sensing is hazardous. I'm glad it got sorted out. I try to take them off before I fall asleep.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

-10.0 both eyes. I never wear glasses unless I have an eye infection. Contacts are the best thing ever invented.
I've alternated them with contact lenses. However glasses work better for me ("sensitive eyes" ftw). I can use only contacts, but it's just so uncomfortable and painful sometimes and I prefer wearing very fine rimless glasses most of the time. I'm not annoyed for any aesthetic reasons, though ofc sometimes I wish I felt absolutely nothing on my face.
Usually it's some sort of summer holiday on the beach or party or stuff that makes me switch to lenses.
No I don't, contrary to all popular stereotypes about Librarians and LIIs.
That person in my avatar isn't me either.

Yes
i am a bit nearsighted, left eye close to perfect, but R eye 20/200
Unfortunately i tend to use my right eye preferentially.
I wear both glasses and contacts.
When i'm busy and overextended i'll tend to wear my glasses more, just because it's quicker and one less thing to worry about in the morning and at night. I will wear contacts for special occasions though. When i'm less busy and/or spiffing up my looks (e.g. if i like someone i see every day), I might switch to daily wearing of contacts, again depending on how overextended i am and how much sleep i'm getting.
