it's a dopamine thing.... a Si dominant with low dopamine will self medicate. a Si dominant with healthy brain chemistry won't feel the same desire to do things that are bad for them.
I find those biological, hormonal cause explanations one-sided, it's sounds almost like an excuse. There are other important factors that have to be considered as well.

To get back on topic, I was thinking of someone who Nicky suggested could be an ENFp and I think it's very possible that he is. Probably an ethical subtype, if that means anything.

Actually, yes, but I remember that in one thread she was typed as ENFp. And I think it isn't that uncommon that some ENFps have a moderate ST look about them.
My versions about Steve Martin's type are INFj, INFp and ENFp. I' ve never liked him. Don't know whether it says something about his type.

I dont know any ESE so i couldn't comment but very interesting. I do see a lot of similarities with him and me tho, except he is far more frenetic. I always thought he was the other ENFP subtype. In those pics you posted, i must admit he seems to have sensing eyes, they are glass like and look through you..

I think Oprah is an INFj based on her interviews. She strikes me as producing a lot of rationality when she speaks and she has a strong value system based on herself. I think if she uses Ne, it is used only for ways to improve the show or have shows like Oprah's Favorite Things, but in interviews it appears subdued. She could possibly be an ENFp ethical subtype and could explain her interviews. She was typed as an ENFj in MBTI and that could make sense too because I see her as the type of person that seems to want to fix everyone's problems if I type stereotypically. I have never liked the topics she chooses to discuss and I have always found her way of expressing herself very repulsive. She comes across as ENFj to me. She 's one of those Fe springs that I run away from. Listening to her makes me uncomfortable. But maybe she IS ENFp (or INFj). Maybe it's nothing to do with type... Oprah seems to have good intentions but she annoys me a bit too with her periodic over done emotions and "helpfulness".
Whoever wants to see a typical example of an ENFj then Oprah is it.
Her partner who she has had a very long term relationship with comes across as an ISTj in interviews.
I do think I could be convinced that this woman is not an ENFj.
