Well I am back. How's everyone? Don't have as much time now, but glad to see some of the old gang are still here.
ESTp
Could well be, I was thinking more along INFJ though.

ESTp. And Dio, are you trying to suggest that Bruce Willis could be either an ESTp or an INFj?

dunno. he reminds me a lot of an ex of mine who i can't stand anymore. he seems (the ex) like a beta extrovert of some sort. although i've found that the "accepted" typing on willis is like, ESTj, everywhere. i don't know where people are getting that. i remember that lytov had suggested ENFj, which i might buy! i don't have any arguments for or against ESTj, but i do think INFj is incredibly unlikely.
edit: can i just say i find him incredibly attractive for reasons completely unknown to me? i think he was my first "celebrity crush" ever.

How can you see ESTp and INFj in the same individual? Except as in, "I have no idea, he could be anything?"Originally Posted by Dioklecian

LSE ftw.
But, for a certainty, back then,

We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...
I think he's ESTp. And I think his ex-wife Demi Moore is ISTj.

Bruce Willis cannot be an ethical type. At least that we can be absolutely sure of, based on V.I. and general appearance.
I'm pretty sure LSE.
>_>
I think it's obvious really.
I agree with you on Demi Moore. Not sure on Willis, but he is apparently on good terms with Demi Moore.Originally Posted by Slacker Mom

I have written about him in "the problems of philosophy." He seems like fine portrait of LSE.

Seems Se valuing to me, based on these quotes. And most likely ST.

I think actors have a reputation for playing characters that are somewhat similar in personality/temperment well.
Bruce Willis will play some roles as police officers etc, a very ESTj role, but a lot of his earlier movies, the die hard series and so forth seem ISTp to me, the characters he plays, they are less concerned with following authority.
Something I am sure about though is that he belongs to the xSTx club.
While the idea of going into colombia and such seems ESTj I could just as easily frame an argument that is a very xSTx approach. Its direct and hands on problem solving, its not ethical based, its more physical and direct. I think its tempting to say it seems xSTj but xSTj's are concerned with order and hiearchy and duties and so forth, his persona in doesn't seem so much based in those things. Of course in the real world most people don't go into colombia etc as a solo operative or something, they depend on militaries etc, but not everyone in the military is nessicary always about the J-element of order/authority.
ESTj, probably what some would call a Te subtype. Intensely focussed on jumping to action and pursuing results in the most direct way.
I know nothing about the man's personal life, but some of his roles seem heavily oriented. The guy he portrayed in Fast Food Nation clearly had devalued .
Yes, but he uses Se in a tormented way. In most of his roles he really hates fighting and exerting himself, there is just something threatening his private life or family that needs to be fended off. He gravitates to that kind of role because they fit him well. To suggest the guy is in any way conquest oriented like a Beta ST or offensive in an initiative taking way is silly.
Beta ST's are passionate. Conquest doesn't necessarily mean taking something that belongs to another person, but pursuing some desire. Delta STs are far more focussed on being conventionally virtuous (working hard, protecting one's loved ones, keeping the evironment clean) than on passionate pursuits. Willis in particular gravitates to roles that involve protecting his family.
So, he does exist as an ESTj on the screen ?
