“My typology is . . . not in any sense to stick labels on people at first sight. It is not a physiognomy and not an anthropological system, but a critical psychology dealing with the organization and delimitation of psychic processes that can be shown to be typical.” —C.G. Jung
the Vietnam background is kinda cheeseball but it's the cut that I want

This mode, built on scale degree 4 is the most important one to the harmonic language of most film scores (and a lot of jazz as well). It is probably the most flexible and easy to use outside 1 and 6 obviously (e.g. same major 7th as ionian/1/ordinary major, and the raised 4th leads very naturally to the dominant chord). Very flexible, very useful. I found this video very interesting.
Major lydian: Whole step - WS - WS - HS - WS - WS - HS - (e.g. F - G - A - B - C - D - E -, F Lydian)
Minor lydian dominant (or acoustic scale): WS - WS - WS - HS - WS - HS - WS - (e.g. C - D - E - F# - G - A - Bb - , C Acoustic)
