I do not have high standarts but I know very well what I would NOT want/like so maybe for someone it might seem like having high standarts. Also with time I tend to find more and more flaws about particular thing or person. I cannot like somebody I do not respect so I only like confident people and/or those I feel like I have to learn something from. I diss people often and I don't have an ability to get along with everybody. I often feel like majority of people I know are not worth my time and I show high disrespect towards them or simply ignore them. I wish I was different and sometimes it makes me feel lonely and depressed.

I used to do the dissing people thing, but I figured out that it just makes you depressed, as you said. I do not diss people, but I do have a set of standards. If someone does not make it, I will still give them common courtesy with a few seconds.

Why care if the energy is wasted? It's hardly a consequential expenditure. It comes down to passivity versus activity.
because I don't have an unlimited amount of it, that's why. I can save my action for things I care about.
