As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.
Carl Jung, "Memories, Dreams, Reflections", 1962
You probably think he's boring and too concerned with his principles, or something. Just a guess. EIEs are attracted to this kind of authentic, unsurprising, from my perspective: boringly ruled nature, but my guess is that you had your type right back when you thought you were an irrational type. Those like Dr. Phil or Clint Eastwood just aren't SLIs. It's insulting putting them in that category. But you can keep thinking you have it right, I don't really care much, I just don't want to have to read it for the zillionth time, and I'd like to help you.

To learn, read. To know, write. To master, teach.
I mainly type Dr. Phil as ISTj on the basis of his brand of emotionality: a very mechanical and blatantly false kind that is very much like my own when I go through the trouble of making myself socially presentable. This exactly what the Reinin property of Emotivism that coincides with Thinking + Judging refers to, by they way.
I'd also like to point out that Eastwood does not display anything remotely resembling that kind of emotive behavior!
Dr. Phil is a textbook example of ISTj, perhaps Morcheeba you don't like him, it's normal there's plenty of ISFjs that I dislike.

Yeah, I really dislike Eddy Murphy to the point I want to type him ESFp, too, but things don't always work like that.
