I think you all give eminem too much credit, but I see strrrng as very similar to eminem in his vibe: i see them as both 4w5 iei and of course strrrng is aware and been influenced by listening to eminem and awareness of that. and im the same type too 4w5 iei.

wait you know he's phony as fuck right? I thought it was really obvious that he is simply a perfect way to market to angsty post-modern teenagers. Plus in terms of actually being a skilled rapper, outside of his rhymes, but actual 'flow' or whatever you want to call it, rhythm/syncopation of syllables, he is awful. plainly awful, that's why his beats are always really simple(almost like standard rock beats, i can explain this better w/ sound haha) and just sound so basic to me, there is very little syncopation of the bass drum in each measure, which usually creates a free-er, harder to follow movement typical to rap.

his flow in itself is complex; the scheme he uses isnt easy to pull off. if you have a problem with his beat selection thats on you - but I dont how its 'simpler' overall in comparison to other artists. beats arent harder to flow on either dude, they're just different to flow on. a 'complex' beat isnt more difficult to flow on neccessarily than a simpler one - flow is independant of that. its the artist thats fitting it to the beat, composing the melody, etc. of course you have to ride that beat but thats just a portion of the overall proccess.

his syncopation and syllabic complexity is awful? he carries on six-syllabic rhyme schemes over 8-bar stretches, in freestyles; added to this is his penchant to divide up larger words over separate bars and tie them back together with similarly-sized words. I think you highly underestimate the level of mental agility this type of thing requires.

anyway, you're not likely to find a large amount of complex beats in the hip hop industry, given the overuse of 4/4 time schemes; yet his production is still top notch, and he pretty much carves perfectly structured segments in most of them. also, as pirate said, it doesn't take a complex beat to develop a complex rhyme scheme; that comes directly from the rapper's ability to manipulate syntax structure; it's puzzle solving in real time.

yeah i can admit to maybe just disliking eminem's rap and being wrong about his credibility/skill. but i think it's ridic that the real basis of his image is, 'no one understands me, i'm so troubled,' and this in turn recruits a whole legion of kids who feel the same way. lolol. I mean how long can someone shout out for help until you wonder why they are still shouting rather than seeking help? It's a conflict of personality for me with his image/attitude. the thing is, I recognize this about eminem and can still respect him not only as a lyricist but as a person. mainly because I think he is real, even if he was programmed by dre to be emphatically angsty and used the rap platform to magnify his troubles. and of course, he knew that kids fed off of it; but even if he acted as a zany wizard to control masses, I still think there's substance to what he embodies -- especially considering the overall path of his development. basically, he can be appreciated without being emulated; so, using the fact that some people do that, as a criticism of him, falls short.

When you read her personal posts on facebook (she manages herself) about certain topics like the Trump election I noticed a lack of Fi actually.. she seemed pretty reasonable despite her cray-cray reputation. The way she talked reminded me about how sometimes SLEs talk about ethical topics. It has a very cold, calculating vibe to it. Pretty interesting when you dive deeper into it.
