A year ago or so, I dreamt I was omnisciently viewing a broken staircase in a forest. The view switched to a group of children comparing hand tattoos and the song Black Sheep by Sneaker Pimps was playing in the background.
Don't look now, we're branded
We're the black sheep
Sewn apart and Siamese
The black sheep
...
If looks could kill wouldn't need all the pills but
I take what it needs to be easy
With the black sheep now
...
Don't look now we're stranded here as black sheep
Swallowed whole and out of reach, the black sheep
Unsafe enough for now
We're shepherded from higher ground
But drowned all out we saved the role of black sheep
Next, a man walked up and changed the song to Tik Tok by Ke$ha.
"Tick tock on the clock, but the party don't stop..."
I remember being terrified at the dissonance the song stirred up within me.
I never realized how propaganda-filled the video is, either.
