I just has a long dream which I interpreted as being a recapitulation of my entire adult life, and it was the latter.
dreamt i told smth to my SLI cousin that upset his worldview or smth and he started making weird loud sounds with his mouth popping his eyes and like holding his hands up and moving them like a crazy person right u get the idea. not sure if my projeciton but SLIs may be jsut crazy ppl who never integrated it. faked their were normal and behaved superficially so, mb all S types are like that, i recall smth similar from all of them. unintegrated intution and Fe. but they also look down on it maybe hence reject it and dont develop. is that his idea of what Fe is? maybe smth like that is what babies do when they learn and his parents were disapproving or weirded out, cold or whatever, or didnt work wiht his personal Fe to develop more sophisticated ideas.

Ahhh, well I think cars are supposed to represent our decision making. If we are driving ourselves it means we are in control and doing our own decision making. Specific people in dreams are usually irrelevant, often the faces do not match up to how we perceive them to be personality/action wise irl. So I think it's a good point to separate the action/feeling from the person. I'm not entirely sure on what is going on with the person you are not allowed to mention, but there does seem to be a hint of a suggestion of deceit? I wonder if the vintage clothes shopping is taking you back to a time or point of reference in the past... Idk... all guesswork.

anyways now analyze my dream:
I have this frequent recurring dream that I've been having for about... 3-4 months now. I dream that I'm in a familiar-ish place that I visit with semi-regularity, like my grandmother's or maybe my old house that I grew up in. Anyways I dream that I can... walk through the window. (usually living room or kitchen window but its on rare cases been the bathroom, any window in the house really)
Like my body will turn incorporeal and I'll literally.. go through the window. The feeling of doing this is both terrifying and unique/cool/exciting. This is when I realize that I'm dreaming. But it's not a full on lucid dream like... it will have bits of lucidity then it will go back to thinking that I'm in reality now. I often have these patterns where I keep 'waking up' but I'm really just in a different dream I think I'd stop dreaming but really I'm still dreaming. And then the dream usually ends with me soaring off in the sky and flying. I've been having dreams of me flying a lot more than usual. and i keep getting better and better at flying too, even though that raises my self confidence some it sorta feels... idk somber like I'm flying but there's nowhere to go.
... woke up raped in a dungeon realising I can't force myself to wake up at all...

I felt so much love for him even more than I did when I was with him. I wanted to be close to him, but even though he was holding me and told me he cared about me he said we could not be together. I was a bit upset and I asked him why. He told me it was because I was only 12 years old. Then I realized I was only 12 years old in the dream, and that to him I was too young. My heart felt broken.
Then things changed in the dream, and I was being held captive by some people. They were holding my magical horses captive too, and I used telepathy to tell them how to free themselves. They did not want to leave me there, but I told them they could not be much help to me if they were also held captive, so they reluctantly agreed to leave without me, and wait until they could come back and rescue me. They broke free of their chains and flew away. I woke up before they came back though.

I dreamt of two girls. I was in a lesbian (I'm not a lesbian for those curious) relationship with one and flirting with the other on the side. Somehow we all three ended up at some open house kind of event and they came face to face. All of a sudden I was in the middle of them and I was trying to introduce them but I could not remember either of their names. It was awkward and they were upset with me. I finally just walked away and left them both standing there glaring at each other.I do not know either of these women irl.

You want to get back in touch with lost pars of yourself, reconnect with things that matter to you and make you happy whether forgotten talents, dreams, or interests (your lost rooms of treasures.) Other people, family members have ideas of things that you might like, but while you appreciate the suggestions, none of them speak to your core, your true self. And there are some memories and situations that you'd rather avoid altogether (the dirty basement.) Trying to fit into other people's view of you, and their wants (their rooms, their house) makes you feel trapped (the tight staircase) and even your connection to your past (your grandma's old house) is tainted by the presence of all these others taking over the space and crowding in.

Did you know that centipedes kill all the other bugs, including spiders, that come into your house? They even eat other centipedes.
Personally, I never kill them unless they come upstairs. If they do that, then they're dead.
I recently cleaned everything out of the basement in order to epoxy paint the floors and the walls, and I removed all the spider webs in the process. Nope, @Dreymagine. I wasn't joking. I believe our dreams come from a very real place and they are trying to tell us something. But, just as with the things our mothers told us in all concern for our welfare, we sometimes need to ignore their advice.
Let's approach dreams logically. What do they consist of? Do they consist of real-world things like how to make a better electric motor, or are they mainly heavily emotional narratives? Do people speak a lot in your dreams, or do you just "know" what is going on?
My theory is that dreams are messages from the ancient lizard brain to the more recent mammalian brain. The lizard brain is the seat of emotions, but it doesn't have language, so when it conveys meaning, it does so in pictures and feelings. The mammalian brain, which we use all day long, receives these impressions and tries to assign contextural meaning to them. But often, they are just warnings from the Id, and the Id doesn't have the calculator or the memory or the flexibility (no more than instinct) of the mammalian brain, and so tends to just be like a pet lizard, watching the world and sending out warnings.
Anyway, that's my take on dreams. I see them as messages from our emotional but not logical half. The Id may be retarded, but it knows 200 million years of instincts.
Jung thought feeling evolved more or less in tandem with thinking, IIRC. Feeling is also a rational function, just as much as thinking is.
I think it's better to say dreams are governed by the irrational functions. It's very rare for what might be called "ethical" judgements to appear in dreams, and the "logic" of dreams if it can be called that is almost never "if this, then that (or "you should do that")" but rather the conjoining of ideas and impressions, which is how S and N operate. The reason people do dream analysis is to later apply a conscious rational evaluation (either ethical/emotional or logical) to what was initially presented as mostly value-free/conclusion-free impressions.
Dreams access the Jungian subconscious where we are less powerful and designing. If you can harness your full inner strength, then I’m sure dreams are the catalyst to further expansion. But it’s only in acts of conscious thinking where we are creators rather than spectators. It’s kind of like Spinoza where we understand why we feel the way we do. Or it’s like Plato’s allegory or the cave where our perception can shoot through the roof. You can’t leave anything up to chance. You have to be the builder, not the dreamer.
Ancient evolutionary roots into the so-called mind of man seems to be a starting jumper booster into the mechanics and engineering of what we experience, but sometimes dreams lead to supernatural experiences, where we have to accelerate many levels beyond past every known to unknown to inexplicable bridge and beyond. And there are no limits to an open mind, no thread of imagination that can be stopped.

I just want to say that i had a dream - after a very stressful day, though evening had gotten a lot better, once i let out a cry for help and started connecting w/ more people about the issues i'm going through - that i'm 100% sure was influenced by having read the Favourite Kinks thread yesterday evening
