Only an ILE will have an Street Fighter 2's Ryu quote in his signature.
And only another ILE would spot this.

Lol, another stereotype bytes the dust.
Definitely not ILE!! (tee hee)
I had a sort-of-friend in high school who I strongly suspect was ILE in retrospect. He always had something to say about EVERYTHING (occasionally profound, usually merely ingenious, but omg did he have ZERO tact or dimplomacy skills, lol). He also had no idea when it was time to shut up.
(Btw, anyone who knows that quote has my instant respect. )

Hmm, so what makes you think I'm ESE??

Lol, as it turns out, I never choose Ryu or Ken. I've typically shunned shotos from the very beginning due to their extreme over-use. I've always had a compelling, all-consuming need to stand out from the dull crowd, lol. (Something I believe is not typical for my type, I might add.)
Having said that, I have always had an insane, inexplicable crush on Ryu....

My limited understanding of an enneagram 5 (of which some EIIs identify with) is that one major component is the constant quest for originality & authenticity in identity. 5's want to be (and often *are*) "different" and at the same time can experience loneliness, being misunderstood, & alienation pursuing a (so-called) stubborn need to be individualistic.
With aristocratic 5's...there can sometimes be an accompanied disdain for ordinary (ie:boring) people which you seem to imply when using the description "dull crowd."

My sense of you is that you have a good sense of humor, you are emotionally smart, & have hyper self-confidence ... bordering on bravado.
I would say (just from your writing style) that you are an INFJ currently functioning subconsciously through your ID...or SLE (SeTiNeFi) shadow.
That is why people might be thinking you will switch to beta.
I could be wrong...it is hypothetical but a strong vibe I get.
Anyway, I'm new here as well.
I wish you well-
So you're telling stereotypes to bite the dust and then come up with another stereotype to prove that you're not ILE?
anyhow, until you stop making posts like that, even if you are right about your type, your knowledge of socionics won't be enough to talk about it properly.
You don't seem like an EII thus far, beta or IEE perhaps making more sense.
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.
If you're in this forum to learn something, be careful. Lots of misplaced toxicity.
~an extraverted consciousness is unable to believe in invisible forces.
~a certain mysterious power that may prove terribly fascinating to the extraverted man, for it touches his unconscious.
Just for the record.
Ryu was always my default, comfortable choice.

Lol, 1982slater said I had to be a ILE because of the StreetFighter reference. I said that was a stereotype - in his mind, at least - assumption that all/only ILE's are into games. (I realise he was probably joking. )
Hmm, fair enough, but then.......how much is 'enough' knowledge?Originally Posted by Ryu
Also, how does anyone know how much "knowledge" I have to begin with?
In any case, as I've said, I'm here with an open mind to learn, not dictate, so if I'm wrong, if I'm not EII, by all means explain why and I promise I will listen.
I'm just confident of my type because everything I've read so far leads me to EII and nothing else. I think, as people here get to know me, they may gradually come to agree...
(Lol, why do I get the feeling almost everybody goes through this gruelling cross-examination when they join this forum )
PS - I simply do not match any of the IEE profiles I've read. I'm also definitely not irrational as far as the socionic description goes. To me, that seems like enough to rule out IEE.
But if not, I also have a couple of IEE colleagues (confirmed through testing and profiles) and the differences between us seem clearly evident to me.
(I realise there is no way for anyone here to confirm any of this, so you'll just have to continue studying my posts on the forum, lol)
