    Hi, Hugo,

If you choose you are INTj. If you choose you are INTp.
I choose , which probably confirms that I am an INTp.

This is interesting. How does this work? What's the methodology behind - the "opposite/hidden" functions reflect a type's "subconciousness" or "hidden strengths"?

But I always assumed that the "opposite/hidden" functions actually indicate a type's "weaknesses", not "strengths", could you explain this? I would like to learn about this.

    Thanks.

    Also dear VivPhilos,

I will soon be writing an article on INTp--ESFp duality as expressed in an incident between Ludwig Wittgenstein and David Pinsent. See if you can see yourself in Wittgenstein (I did!)

    Thanks, Hugo,

I had a look of the link, but am onfused with this "block/ego" thing... what's that to do with your last message of type opposites and comparisons?

By the way, I don't know about this Model A thing - I assume it is the "Groups" (i.e. Alpha, Beta and so on) thing when different types are together, is that right?

Sorry, I am just very new on this topic, and thanks agin.

    Default Another Test

I've come up with something else. Say you are INFx, choose the one that describes you the better:

The strongest element of ISTp's personality is an inexhaustible curiosity towards the phenomena of the surrounding world. They are interested in adventure/tourism, the juxtaposition of cultures and the study of nature and architecture. ISTp's fundamental need is comfort both in material and physical areas. They aspire to a harmonious, peaceful and healthy style of life. They also have a well-developed aesthetic taste.

ESTps are, without a doubt, wilful and determined people. They always set themselves important and far-reaching goals. They don't like to waste their energy on small, unimportant matters. ESTps are very flexible people and can easily adapt to changing situations, compromising if necessary, without losing sight of the main objective. They are in their element in critical situations. They are prepared to take great risks, but never without good reason. ESTps like to demonstrate their bravery, intelligence, will power and cool head.

If you choose you are INFj. If you choose you are INFp.

This one seems to work for me, thank you Hugo, now we would still need an INFP point of view though...

By the way, I think the website you gave me was probably a good one, but I haven't read it properly.

    So will try more.

I think the phrasing is a little off change it to "which of these do you aspire to?" (a relaxing life or a life of power kind of thing).

    * the estimation of the social relations: the open expression of its views on them.
    * manipulation on the relations between the people in the groups, the skill to erect deep multipass intrigue in the association, using any psychological distances, to create and to impose its moral standards.

Yes but depending on the person it can be a shameless ploy to excercise their hidden agenda.

Whoever has this website is a damn genius, use the links at the bottom for more information if you need it:

Thanks, Curious. I think Hugo already gave me that. Maybe it is a good website, but I didn't read all the pages, so I will need to read it more to understand this Model A thing.

It would if you rephrased it. I don't think it would have worked without the rephrasing when I was first involved in Socionics and didn't know as much about it.

Well, as you fortunately  realized there are a lot of weird theories in socionics... It is always up to you to figure out what makes sense and what does not. In general I would agree with Pedro, on average INTPs appear warmer, but at least INTP women can be very complicated creatures, mysteriously attractive and unpredictable, yet ultimately unattainable - or so it seems to me...

Yes, agree, but ony ULTIMATELY!

INTp women sound so exciting, now I want to be one, or stay being one! How about you, Cone? (oh, I forgot, Cone might be a boy! Sorry )

Yes, I am a man, through and through. Don't know if I'm 'mysterious and unattainable' though...

Don't worry, we can always delete the double posts later. Often you have to log in twice before you are properly logged in. I was thinking it might be because the server needs to recognize the "cookie" so that it knows it is you, or something like that maybe.

And sorry, but there won't be a picture forthcoming. I prefer to remain the International Man of Mystery. Reality is not half as exciting. .
