I think my brother may be becoming less of a pain in the ass as he gets older. We can talk and joke and do stuff we both like; and due to my job, I'm getting a lot less exposure to him, which probably helps a ton. On another front, I'm shooing my sister back into Gamma for the time being. I don't have a solid read on her Ego functions, obviously; but one of her primary traits is bluntness. I used to think she just didn't see how her words affected others, but it turns out she just doesn't care what other people think. It's been a bit hard to deal with her excessive honesty, when I feel certain views and feelings shouldn't be voiced - they're not "appropriate", and what would other people think? - but learning the true motive behind her behavior helps me somewhat. I want to be around people who allow me to express my views, as selfish or cold as they may be, without that disapproval and condemnation I fear. My sister is comfortable with that kind of openness in her own life. I still think she could stand to soften her approach sometimes, and she can and does filter herself sometimes, depending on who she's with ("I have to be around these people a lot", she said of one place). But I think it's going to help me be less self-conscious and worried about others' judgment.

I am somewhat like your sister.

    1) excessive honesty 2) bluntness 3) catering to social context 4) not letting people's opinions have any bearing on myself.

This may not be Gamma, but it may be Te (+Fi at point number 3).

Yes. I mostly use artificial sweetener in my drinks (usually saccharin, sometimes sucralose). I occasionally go for sugary tea, soda, or sugary coffee drinks.
Thanks for the smile, it made my day. It appears that your brain is in need of sugar fixes. There are 2 solutions to this: 1) continue taking these drinks but complement it with exercise to burn of the sugar that can be burnt of 2) learn what artificial sweetener does to your body, avoid using it, and exercise to get your endorphine fix instead. Sugar can never do for you what your body, or healthy relationships with others can do for yourself.

I am, myself, a fan of open and honest communication.

I have other reasons for thinking her Gamma, not just not caring what others think.[quote]Thanks for the smile, it made my day.[/quoting]Formatting error. It should have been (o.O; )

I don't use aspartame, and I hardly ever drink it. Sucralose, I'm just stubborn about; it's not entirely good for me, but I like it better than saccharine. Saccharine isn't my favorite, but it's not nasty, and it's what we keep around the house. In short, I'm not worried about my consumption of artificial sweeteners. My stepfather is extremely health conscious and fairly picky about what we do and don't bring into the house.Something else I'd like to address. I do get sugar cravings on occasion, but I go for sugary drinks largely because I like the taste.

My sister went to the chiropractor today, after having back pain the last month. Turns out she has a herniated disc and a stress fracture in one of her ribs. She'll have to avoid any strenuous activity for a week or two, which means no dance classes and a serious lifestyle adjustment. She's not happy about it ("I'm practically paralyzed!"), but she does seem to recognize that the alternative is far worse.

Life is so slow, why do I need to keep poking it to get any kind of change. Can I make it faster somehow? Maybe the changes are just not big enough. Next time Ill poke harder.

At times like this, you need to grow a pair:

    She is wise
    beyond words
    beautiful within
    her soul
    brighter than
    the sun
    lovelier than
    love
    dreams larger

It's pretty silly, actually. I was walking down a dark hallway and ran into one of those freestanding closet things and hit my foot against its foot. I thought it was just another bad stubbing until I looked at it a minute later and noticed my toe was bent sideways.

Half of me wishes my first broken bone had come from something more epic or story-worthy. The other half of me shakes its head vigorously and says, "Please let's not have anything broken at all, thank you!"

I hate it when that happens, but I haven't actually broken a toe bone. Getting your toe bent is pretty epic, hehe. I could post a video of my freaky thumb and its abilities but I don't want to ruin your moment here though .

I'm sure he's lovely at what he does. I'm gonna pass on the surgery, though. Thanks for the well wishes.

If you want to post your video, please do so. It won't ruin any moments of mine, though I might choose not to watch it. I've had enough abnormally bending digits for quite awhile. In fact, a good portion of my shock right after the injury was pure grossed outness.

I haven't actually filmed it, but whenever I do my little freak show act with my thumb they find it gross and entertaining .

My brother can do weird things with his thumbs, and they make weird noises. He used to like to sneak up on my sister and I, then do his thumb thing right next to our ears.

    ....

Parkster, here's more evidence of Bunter having fun. We play ball/fetch sometimes, and on Saturday I was not thinking and took my camera outside to not only play but take pictures, whereupon I made my foot much worse. Still, we had fun.

Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.

Thank you I think the tri-fold key is: practice, taking a whole ton, and enjoying it. Studying it doesn't hurt, either.

I'm craving hugs. Hugs and cuddling would be really nice right now. My puppy tries to help with that, but there's just something about human contact that's irreplaceable.

Well I'm sorry I'm not female and live close by. I would offer free hugs and cuddling if I were. I love kittens.
    She is wise

    lovelier than

I spoke with the doctor today. My tests came back normal, save for slightly low hemoglobin; and he said that's fairly normal and can be fixed with an iron/Vitamin B supplement. On the downside, that means there is no identifiable reason for my blood sugar being so finicky. He said to just keep complex carbs around in case I ever need them.

Also, I'm going back to school next semester! Yay.

Yes, it can be indeed. If you feel like sharing, what's causing you difficulty?

I'm semi running my own business. I have a business name and am registered with the govt. and all that; but I'm a freelancer in the web industry, so that might be different than what you're doing. My experience has been mostly positive; like an exploration adventure. Cool things and opportunities seem to just keep coming to me.

Hm That's kind of discomfiting when doctors don't know what's going on with health problems. Not surprising, since there's more knowledge than there's room in human heads for it all. But still. Have you gone to any natural medicine doctors?

What are you going to school for?

Yeah. I haven't. There are a few in the city; it'd be a matter of time and transportation.

I'm switching to English. Don't yet know what I'll do with it; but I figure if I ought to have a degree, it might as well be in something I can stand.

Those problems are probably due to local laws and regulations. For starters the amount of different taxes and calculation exceptions is annoying. This also creates "better" ways to charge for things or pay for things, meaning I can avoid portion of taxes if I do X and Y. This is something I shouldn't be doing and shouldn't be thinking about and it is annoying. Not to mention this makes my business cases much more complicated.

Another is probably the number of officially signed papers you need to start a business. 8 freaking steps followed by a bunch of papers of which 2 can be done without physically being present. However those 2 put too much limitations as opposed to being physically there that it was more or less useless for me. So 8 different places you need to visit, everything signed etc.

The rest is cool and excited though, I'm sure the best part will be in the future.
