I've remembered why I've taken leave of this forum, it's just people of w/e age playing the same old tunes.

It almost manages to make me despair of life.

Anyway I'm going through to the east coast on Tuesday, then up north for some bracing hiking. I'd recommend some of you do the same.

Actually when this place was down it was a blessing to us all.

I don't know what to make of this latest turn of events.
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.
If you're in this forum to learn something, be careful. Lots of misplaced toxicity.

    Ryu,

Please explain to me what turn of events are you observing. Are they particularly troublesome to you? How do you feel about them?

The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. More or less, the atmosphere of things since the forum's return. I'm not sure I'll stay here much longer, as I've said before. But for now I suppose I'm alright hanging around a bit more.

It does seem like a time-sink, a big time waster.

I'm glad that, at least for now, some of the petty fighting isn't going on, here in this lounge at least.

As if it makes any difference, or as if you pay attention which thread you're reading when you stumble upon it.

It makes a difference because both Maritsa and WA have mentioned that they are trying to be civil. This is called positive reinforcement, and open praising.

"Americans are so stupid about the world that they get offended because someone's first language isn't English" - in regard to BP's chairman's press conference today, and the 'outrage' following the use of the phrase "small people" to refer to every day middle/lowerclass working peoples in the affected area.

I'm lost in our oil spill crisis and I can't believe how we've managed to ruin the environment so conveniently. BP puts out a multi million dollar ad campaign instead of paying the wages of fisher people who've lost their jobs due to their incompetance and lack of concern/care. The whole thing is an absolute nightmare.

I used to find things incredible. But when you understand humans more, it is indeed more a surprise when things go "better" than when they go "worse".

At any rate, the incentives are what they are; as much as this should be a warning or provocation for changing safety standards and a focus on renewable energy, I don't see anything happening along those lines. Just a bunch of ass-covering and power-protecting, as usual.

The impossible questions Si bases can pose

Good looking Identity partner probably wouldn't be bad, but wouldn't be excellent. If the fat, ugly dual was too ugly, I'm pretty sure a part of me would always be recoiling inside, so, no. Call me shallow.

That said, definitely broke same Quadra. Money is icing on the cake to a fulfilling relationship, and you can't sanely live off pure icing, even if it was someone I could probably tolerably live with like an ILI. Even worse would be icing on a cake that gives you food poisoning, like Conflict or something.

Why do Si notice "fat" or "heavy" or things of shape?

It's what's inside the shape that counts...

    Good looking identity partner.

The second question goes in this order:
    Broke dual
    Broke activity
    Cash extinguishment
    Cash super-ego
    Cash quasi
    Broke identity
    Broke mirror
    Cash conflictor

I wanna hear u play Ryu!!! I'd have to hear a sample of what i'm to pay for though first, before paying up to watch an amateur youtube vid. But if you're good enough. . . (as long as the price isn't outrageous or anything).

Also, I like Clint Eastwood in Heartbreak Ridge. I'm watching it now.

How the hell is Clint Eastwood supposed to be LSI?

The finale to Heartbreak Ridge is him meeting his girl, and, they just smile and nod, and don't say anything, as they walk off in their victory parade.

No EIE would have that from her dual in the big romantic climax of her movie.
