I've considered trying to make another thread but the problem would remain.

My current policy advocacy is use ignore. It's kind of unexpectedly mental refreshing; it's not as intrusive or bogus as I thought the ignore function would be. Instead, I just get to see the people I want to see, and talk to those I want to talk to

This is a bit like the realist view of world politics - there is no international police to sort things out. Guidelines, exactly as you say, are not going to stop the worst offenders.

    Do you like dancing, Akra?

I can't remember how the term redneck came about just now, but what it says on wiki is incorrect as far as I recall. Maybe i'll remember.

Anyway, there are still some qualities in todays 'redneck' which existed in the original rednecks, willing to fight for liberty and principles, although whether the rednecks of today are descended from a stock of the originals, or are just a group of people where only unsavoury aspects can be categorised by the now negative word, is something i'd need to think about some more.

I am a little fatigued today.
Yeah, it is really interesting how words and terms change over time. For example, how the name Ashley used to be used for guys.

    Why are you fatigued?

I'm not sure. I should probably eat something, though. According to some people not eating is bad for your health. I'm kind of tired, though, and unmotivated to get up and fix something.

Local grown stuff can be pretty good.

Mm, now I want to go to this Lebanese restaurant I know... I think one reason "ethnic" food places can be so good is because they can specialize and make their foods unique.

When living somewhere up north in Europe I missed the bus back to school and didn't want to wait half an hour for the next one, so I thought I'd walk the distance, why not. I'd have to walk between this thin stretch of road between this awe-inspiring mountain that drops almost perpendicular to the edge of the fjord (frozen, incidentally). I believe it took me about 3-4 hours and it was pitch dark the whole time. I stopped at some point cuz I felt the ground shaking, don't know if it was a reindeer or what and couldn't tell how far or close it was, but i freaked out, lol. The "thing" let me be though. Was kinda terrified in a way the whole time, nature kinda scares me, it's too big or sth, lol. I told my friend when i got back to school and he politely suggested i might be crazy

I have no idea what i'm thinking at the time of doing these kinda activities though, but i wonder if it's some kind of inner pilgrimage of sorts, maybe to know yourself better (heh, myself scares me sometimes.

To end it on a slightly more positive note though, i'm 8 and my brother is 10 and we're somewhere south vacating with the fam. Parents go out and my gamma brother dares me to this crazy game. We (well, my parents really, lol) have a bottle of grappa and he says whoever is able to chug from the bottle w/o stopping for the longest time wins the game. He goes first and I thought "wow, that was long, can't let him win". He only chugged for a couple seconds, if that. So now i'm chugging and my eyes are bulging. I won, i think, but can't really remember lol. I think i was barfing til my parents came back. The next day was still drunk, went to look at my dad clean his motorcycle and fell from the veranda onto the garden. I remember giggling at my dad "dad, haha, i'm drunk and i didn't get hurt at all", lol.

So, yeah, not sure these things make you stronger, lol
Yeah, I think the thought processes behind pushing oneself and boundaries is kind of important. For example, are you doing it for the thrill? To make yourself stronger? Because it's just there? Etc.

    Those are good stories, btw.

@Cyclops: I don´t know what to say about the term redneck really.
I have always known it as somewhat derogatory. Thanks for the historical exploration of the term. It was interesting to see it wasn´t derogatory some centuries ago.

@Maritsa: don´t you think youre going over the edge here a bit? your signature, with these huge letters, shows some kind of strange obsession and need for aggression towards Minde. Don´t be enemies with her. She´s a very nice woman. Don´t be jealous. I know you´re a nice person on the inside too. Nice people shouldn´t be enemies. Nice people should not fight each other, instead they could fight someone who is not nice, this is much more rational. Why are you upset with Ryu? He´s also a nice person. And just to end this I´d like to be sincere- your signature has something absolutely ridiculous on it. Like you give too much value to this forum and not to the concrete world. Maritsa, go have sex. I´d have sex with you if I was in California, as a therapy for helping you. You are in need of some wild sex.

Maritsa, it just came to my mind.
Why don´t you do some porn movies? There´s a huge porn market in the USA and Cali in particular. Get in touch with someone from some agency. I´ve heard porn actresses actually make good money. Why not make good money doing something pleasurable? You´re both enneagram type 2 and FJ type, that is a perfect recipe for a good porn actress. I really mean it. There are so many porn actresses who are E2s and FJs...in fact they´re the best.

    yea you may be right.
most porn actresses are : ESFJs, ESFPs, ESTPs. ENFJs ENFPs can also be found.
I doubt Introverts in general are porn actresses. ESFPs and ESFJs abound, though.

Oh, had a somewhat late night the previous night. I'm sure it was worth it, heh.

And yeah - afaik pink used to be a colour for boys and blue was for girls, but it swapped over. Apparently that's what's going to happen to the earths magnetic pole. Well I just can't keep up with the world.

Cooking is easy, there's two main ingredients: a take away menu, and a phone.

Hey, are you calling our conversations about dinner and food macabre?
lol, I posted that directly under a cool post, and hadn't realised as it was more or less at the same time. That's the beauty of me talking, sometimes I stop to take my foot out of my mouth and put the other one in.

Don't give up. This thread ain't dead yet.
Indeed, just like the trials and tribulations of real life, it's all represented here. To experience the heights we must also experience the depths, so i'm told. I'll let you know how it all goes, although it might even be better if it was just one straight line.

Well, it's wonderful to hear that you are open minded; I love that in a man
But, I'm prudish about my body and I'm shy about exposing myself to anyone other then my man. Porn is not what I would say I've ever considered although I am proud of the women who are sensible about it and support a healthy lifestyle doing it as long as they are not hurting themselves in the process.

My signature says that she has been going around the forum asking people for information about me, which I find distrubing and highly mean. She showes herself to be nice but she is cunning and highly manipulative.

Don't you find it highly suspicious that someone who claims to be a certain type will not provide VI photo's to confirm? She has not done this after asking her several times, which makes me not trust her at all as an individual who is sincere or honest.

Ryu claims to be my dual but is not doing what you do as my dual which is interference between SEE types and myself...you are essentially interfering to protect me. He has not done this at all.
    -
    Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

I've been turned on by people without being able to smell them - sometimes hearing someone's voice, or thinking about them. So I sort of wonder how much pheromones really has to do with things. I think it can maybe be a 'mood boost', but, I don't think it is some magic elixir that is going to make people drop their pants.

It's not a matter of how hot they could be, it's just that it would feel weird and there are other implications, moral ones.

Airborne, am I gay? You're allowed to ask as many questions as you want.

    EDIT

    That video is horrible.

YouTube - Kate Ryan - Ella Elle L'a (official music video)
Watching videos of leggy women shaking their crotch and cleavage in your face makes you gay?

Well, there sure is something sexy about male and female in air steward mode

A coupla beers and this song is the best ever.

Oh, and the gay guy saying things like, "Would you like something to suck on when landing Sir"? lol.

Anyway, tried to find the promo video, which is also amusing even more amusing, but sadly couldn't, but similar to yours on the airplane and all, but more...camp.

    Gilly?
Did you have to bring that to the one place I can hide from that stuff in the forum?

    That's very gruesome and sad.

LSE

That's the point, although I hardly see many graphic images posted on this forum.

    That, too, is the point.

Safety is an illusion that you should probably overcome.

I can't. Even when I do try I get very emotional and hide away. Just this conversation made me start crying...I just can't.

I mean I take risks, but nothing extreme; I have done journalism where you have to get yourself into some serious situations, but I feel like it's a process; if I get into it then I can better tollerate it but the more I withdraw into my world away from it the more I lock myself out that world and the more I get into the gentleness of the world or become more idealistic and expect that things will be kinder.
