It's kind of interesting to see how different children develop in different ways and times. For example, my brother didn't really grasp reading until age 12, while I had asked my parents to teach me at the age of 4 and was avidly reading full books by 6. And, yet, my brother is the one who has perfect pitch and a mechanical aptitude that I could only hope to achieve with great effort. I love the differences like that - it makes everybody so special and unique.

This is one of those things that makes me feel like it would have been nice to have siblings.

Related: I don't like the idea of having one child.

    Great use of Te!

I just directly click on active threads when I log in and don't go to Delta Forum first; I like knowing all the stuff that's going on and especially, want to catch the VI requests; so I may need clairification about minute stuff that I don't get sometimes, but since you are great at that sort of stuff, I don't mind asking you...

Raising children. As usual. Our cat is having health problems. I'm worried about how people will deal with that loss. Mostly worried about my husband as he is closest to the cat. My daughter is hurt but at the same time planning for us to get a kitten when the cat dies. But I know her and know there will be tears when the time comes. She's dealing with the health problems right now by trying to come up with ways to raise money for the SPCA. That seems to make her feel like she's helping at least animals in general if she can't help this one animal.
It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.

    Coding mostly these days.

Something which I believe has strong elements of Si involved in the process. From my experience and reading/hearing the experiences of others writing software is what my boss would call a soft process. If you come across problem or your solution is inefficient it is generally seen as foolish to push your way throw the issues by sitting at your desk staring at your screen trying to solve the problem. From what I've heard you're better going off to watch t.v., call a friend, going outside to smoke a cigarette or basically anything to clear your mind. Then in a Housian like moment the solution is revealed to you.

Also it's generally difficult to look professional when working, try not slouching in your chair after trying and failing numerous times to solve the same stupid problem.

Anyhow, this I'm guessing all results in trendy silicon valley companies having their workforce in comfortable clothing, lots of soft chairs, water guns, pool tables etc.

Ragdolls are very interesting. I should maybe go for an inquisitive and adventuresome cat to balance me out rather than going for the cat that has my temperament. Socionics and pet personality choice?

Btw, I don't work in they type of Silicon Valley environment as I described, where I work is far more constrained since I don't live in California and sometimes we have to meet clients and clients regularly come into our office who probably won't be too accepting of contracting work to a company with employees dressed like stoners/WoW players. But generally the environment is far more relaxed than a sales environment I once worked in.

I do like the work/job, I like the activity of programming and people who I'm working for don't offend me in any significant way and they aren't massive pricks.

So it's all good for now.

Have fun with the new bed.
Proper bedding makes a big difference to me. It's like having comfortable shoes. . .

I like kittens, it's too bad they eventually turn into cats.

I'm more of a dog person. Cats don't seem very affectionate.

Sometimes they can be. Depends on the cat. My friend has a cat who loves to sit on a person's lap and purr. He's pretty much the quintessential cat everybody wants. Overall I like them because they're really independent. Easy to take care of when I'm really busy, and I don't have to worry whether they've peed on the sofa in my absence.
