Default School of Associative Socionics: Music, Art, Poetry of TPE SuperID types (SLI, SEI, ILI, IEI)

In this thread I welcome irrational introverts to paste the examples of their favourite Music. If you know your type for sure, please, state it at the start of the list. You could also paste here poetry, photos of your creative work or just pictures which reflect your soul the best. I hope this thread will represent Superid- types and Superid -energy in a distinctive, original way!

Lightbulb School of Associative Socionics: TPE Super-id (Music and art)

Hi to all, here you can post the usic and art which in your opinion belongs to TPE Super-id and Ego-types.In Socionics, the TPE - groups are formed through the interchange of three basic dichotomies: extraversion-introversion, rationality-irrationality, and statics-dynamics.

    S - sensing, L- logical (thinking), I – intuitive, E – ethical (feeling), i - introvert, e -extravert.

Superid-types – are the irrational, dynamic introverts such as Sergei Yesenin (IEi), Honoré de Balzac (ILi), Alexandre Dumas (SEi) and Jean Gabin (SLi).

"TPE Superid in music corresponds to a weak, untargeted and uncontrolled energy flow. Superid energy is touched with melancholy, a feeling of burden, presence of sadness and despair. It compensates and fulfils the energy of Ego, strengthening the contrast of the latter. In comparison with Ego music, Superid music possesses a weaker energy (introversion) and deep absorption into the internal world i.e. the world of subjective imagination and perceptions. It also contains more flexibility in its varied and complex patterns. Superid music can possess unusually lingering melodies because of its irrationality or, vice versa, can be characterised by a “lack” of melody and abrupt changes of rhythm. The power of emotions will not be obvious and bright. Superid is an introverted type of energy. Speed and contrast of music patterns correspond to its internal tension, anxiety and melancholy which are perceived as characteristic for introverted dynamics in music: the general background of slow, quiet and introverted melody is combined with the delayed tempo (remission) and then reverses into an abrupt speed and change of the rhythm".

Not really. My musical preferences are very eclectic so they fall in all four. Music is food, and also a species of magic.

We all do. The point is that we still have a preference for the music that fits our psyche because this is a mirror of ourselves. It is only natural. We can appreciate good songs and music no matter of the type but we can also appreciate music which charges us up with the energy identical to our own when we are drained. It is all about identity: who am I and what is mine?

This is my favorite example of Super-Id music even though it doesn't fit your exact description, so I post, because it is quite dynamic/observational. Though notice it's metered, where as Debussy is metered. Object Intention > Object Reaction.

Thank you, polikujm. I think it perfectly fits to Superid music and ay be more to the dynamic profile as dynaics here is very obvious: Superid-Ego. Ni is responsible for for development and movement forward in music. This music fits very well to ILI type.

Dirty three is Superid - too slow and has got a development of sounds, which are wondering around. Ni+Si most likely, perception. The profile is intorverted to start with and then goes into Ego and Id. The sound gets even more irrational and we have Ego-Id at the end - extraverted profile. Still irrationality is very obvious in this song. So ideally it fits the irrational profile Superid- Id.

Musical preference cannot be reduced to simply either culture or personality traits. Personal aesthetics are determined by environmental influences and individual qualities working together and also upon one another. So given that and the high potential for dynamism, you'll need a much more complex formula to explain what music accords with whose receptivities. Enough contradictions and exceptions can be found in the present model to render its ascriptive power no better than a decent guess.

    Bah!

Your type is just as reducible and predictable as my type is, we just haven't mapped it out to a precise formula yet. That's why we're here. That's why typology exists.

I think the formula is absolutely fine and working well. Otherwise I would not have followers. However no one odel or theory is ready to tell you bsolutely everything so that you do not need to think or search for an answer - like with everything else! Associative approach is relatively new and it is fun to explore and work with. If you don't like it or approve it - that's your choice. It does already exists and grows. It was born actually on this forum in 2005.

A non sequitur. Faith in a concept doesn't prove its truth. It only provides proof of persuasion.

Mohammed has followers. L. Ron Hubbard has followers. Shoko Asahara has followers. Jim Jones had followers. Rasputin had followers. ******, Jesus, Lenin, Zoroaster, Stalin, Ghengis, Hoxha, Mussolini, Mao, on and on, they all have or had followers. But that has nothing to do with the factuality of the views they expounded. It only means they were convincing to others, and perhaps to themselves as well. Were they all able to inspire thought and action? Most definitely. Were any of them correct? That is entirely a matter of debate.

    I agree.

TPE must stand on its own merits, not yours, even if you're its author. So personal credential are immaterial.

Now your thoughts on the operational roles of blocks in Model A have caught my interest, so I'll be giving those closer study because they seem the most worthwhile aspect of what you've presented. However, I regard the music and color components mostly as sideshows that lack a sufficient logical and evidential basis. At best the music typing is a variant of info aspect semantics, so it retains some value. But Lüscher's color theory borders on being meaningless, at least as it's being employed here. This sort of thing would be put to better use by asking examinees what they associate with various colors so the general nature of their thoughts can be observed in their expressions, not by assigning ontological values to colors under the assumption that preferences for them are causally determinant of mental orientations.

All told, whether I like or believe what you're saying, none of this is a deterrent to examining or commenting on this system.

korpsy, you do not yet grasped the idea of associative socionics. Did you actually have read my article about Butterfly model or am I wasting my breath here?
My approach is very different ini the concept to Lushers one. Do not judge the similarity of the approaches by the look. Concepts are different.

The blocks of model A corresponds with the TPE - approach but they are not identical. However they both originate in the psychoanalysis and the work of Freud.

By the followers I meant the people who found the approach as new and interesting for them. This is practical approach so people check it out for themselves. No one takes anything for granted without a personal check out. Dont you see it how people are careful on this forum? This is a pretty normal reaction and I am not surprised about it. It is just a beginning.

I've read your articles, some of them more than once. But one needn't accept the truth of an idea to understand it, nor is it necessary to discard an entire idea when only parts of it ring true. Your site makes repeated reference to Lüscher's color theory and it is obviously and explicitly incorporated into butterfly theory. Oddly enough, the last time I pointed this out you said Lüscher wasn't important, nor the musical correlations, yet you're still practicing and advocating both things. *shrug* I have no use for Lüscher and I regard musical preference as just one more indicator among many. Some of the other concepts are worthy of further contemplation, though, and I'll continue to deconstruct and challenge them, because that's just part of my "personal check out".

I think you issed the point then. I asked because I did not know if you have read them actually. I do mention Lusher but to say that the approaches are different. The fact that I use colour approach does not ean that I use Lusher approch, does it? Where exactly you see similarity I can not understand? And if I use non-verbal approach to typing does it mean that i use somebody else approach as well?

May be, if I explain it to you on something that you already know, it would be easier for you to grasp the concept? May be DCNH?

IEI(Yesenin) music fits the music TPE Superid. From the music of other Superid types it differs by being intuitive and emotional (lightness, airiness, playfulness, agility and variability of sound - like the murmur of a brook). It is more similar to the rational or popular music from all other types of Superid-music. Among the musical preferences of Yesenin type there are songs similar to other Superid types but I did not include them in this short list.

Sergey Yesenin - «Хулиган» (Сергей Безруков), HD.
