Also does the yellow ip purposefully have the greatest change vs the other lines? Is this ep and Ip meeting together and balancing energy? Or if it continued would the yellow ip crash lower at the end?
.
What I meant was that since Ip has such a low baseline they have the greatest potential for energy change, both up and down. Well I suppose Ep would have the same ability to go up and down. But they can't sustain(constant ij/ej energy) any energy level especially high ones, and Ep's cant sustain low energy levels. Makes sense as to the nature of conflict between Ej/ip and ep/ij.
i'm not so sure about those lines. most EP's and IP's i know have more energy in the morning and then it decreases towards the end of the day. EJ's are horrible in the a.m., but can stay up all night. the only line i thought was accurate was the IJ one. and, i think overall, EJ has waay more energy than everybody else.

those who are easily shocked.....should be shocked more often
Hmm, in my experience it is almost the opposite. EJ's crash at 7 pm after having been running about like energizer bunnies all day. All the EP's and IP's I know are super slow in the morning, walk around like zombies most of the day and get going towards 12 at night . My LII sister-in-law needs to sleep at least 9 hours a day to feel ok and hates going to bed late.

I'm most definitely a morning person. I like to wake up at 7.30 and I'm most refreshed, then past 9 PM I can't do shit. Of course I can go out, but staying awake at night is not something I can naturally do.
Obsequium amicos, veritas odium parit
I answered the yellow line because I am not a morning person, so my energy level starts off low and it takes me a while to get rolling. Then I gradually get into a roll and that will last for a few hours usually, and that's when I start to crash a little bit midday, and this cycle will fluctuate during the day. I will try to find things to get my energy level up for brief periods of time. My energy level is definitely higher at night than it is in the morning (although this is becoming less and less the case because my energy level at night is dropping too). My sleep patterns are erratic and I go to bed at random times. And so the yellow line to me fits me best because my energy level is not very consistent throughout the day, it's not particularly high though. Having said that, the next most likely line for me would be the blue line.

Test has been updated:
http://valaas.site90.net/socionics_test.html
There is now a short version and a long version.
Short version is only 2 questions. It gave me ILI b/c I gave the IP answer to question 2.
The long version is similar to the original test with slide bars so you can indicate the strength of your preference and the results are more detailed. My result on the long version, which seems right on:

I have never tested as extroverted anything so I don't know how they determined this one.
Your socionics type is LII (INTj).\The short test gave me a completely different result, this test is a bunch of crap if you ask me.
I don't see anything wrong with this updated version, besides my preference to word the questions a little better and to put some new questions in. The ones here were fairly relevant and accurate to socionics. I don't like the short test as much as the long one.
My friend has never tested extroverted in Keirsey, but he's an ENTp, and I've never tested as extrovert and some people think I'm an ENTp, so I don't think of it as extroversion in that sense, if that's what you mean. According to Expat's old article I just read, extroversion can simply mean playing out the desire to resolve the dissonance between static and dynamic, the dissonance between preservation and change. EPs are active because they want to change and move what they see as too still (but shall we always call them active and extroverted?) Extroversion is a descriptive term to name all of its behaviors.
Are you judging the test based on your own personal results or by the results that the majority of forum members have been getting? (Or something else?) I know that there is a natural tendency for people to believe in a test that verifies your personal typing, but you have to remember that the whole set of results is what is most important. (As a matter of fact, I don't like Rick Delong's longer test because it gives me a type that doesn't make sense for me, but I have sadly realized that it seems to work for most people.)
Jason
The questions seemed accurate to what I've learned from Socionics, however it seemed kind of exclusive of some factors, but exclusive of mostly minor factors that I would prefer to fill in the questions. I had people I know in real life take it and it was good.
Fixed a couple errors in the algorithm. The changes will only have a minor impact on most people's results. I also decreased the consistency threshold, so people wouldn't have to "lie" as much.

Tereg, unless these questions were horribly worded, which they weren't, if you're an INFj, you would have gotten INFj on this test, or something close to it. I'm just putting that opinion out there, lol. Maybe try it later when you feel better.
I answered these questions with major subjectivity, that is, not relating them to socionics what-so-ever. Word for word. Sometimes I test off though, and answer the questions wrongly, because I'm in a weird state of mind. I don't think I'm always 100 percent truthful. We humans think stuff about ourselves that is not true.

Cool test. Many of the divisions didn't seem so exclusive of one another so I just didn't touch them. I am glad it still gave me a result.

What does this question here answer?
15. Which description fits you best?
I am quite effective at dealing with fast-changing situations and find that stable environments become boring.
I am quite effective when operating in a stable environment and will often struggle dealing with constantly changing situations where large amounts of new information are coming in.
*the first option sounded like someone who isn't lazy and likes acting in all instances, and I just don't have the energy to be in fast-changing situations or activities most of the time. it becomes an irritant. perhaps you could give me an example.
