that is what i was getting at. if there is an inescapable appropriation that is required in the act of understanding, this brings into question the validity of socionics in describing what is real, and hence stubborn contradictions that continue to plague me.
Love is that tingling on the skin, like some sort of breeze is cooly dancing along. It turns you into a fool and sometimes a genius. It's a tractor beam reeling you in. Love can feel like a very special, very personal facepalm. It invigorates, makes you smile like an idiot for no particular reason. Life seems brighter. It spins you around, drops you, and expects you to find your own way out. All your hopes and fears seem tied up in there somewhere. Love can make you sing or dance in public.
It's pretty gay like that.

Strange. I'd see it as an endearingly quirky gesture. Same as a serenade or something.
In other words, it's cool, because it's unique to the individual, and that makes it a lot more real. I mean, I know it's not "unique"--it's trite and cliche--but maybe "personal" is a better word? Even better if it's part of his and the girl's shared sense of humor.
