Transigent is correct, I think, especially about the "typical ENTp behaviors." That was one of the primary components in my new theory. I realized that all the things that supposedly made me ENTp were things that could be attributed to any type.

ENTp stereotyping has gone legion and corrupted our perceptions of what type actually means.

Being serious now. I agree that ADD makes typing more difficult. ADD person should behave more like their real type when properly medicated am I right? I wonder if there really is somekind of real or illusionary relation with ADD and ENTp.

I said it once, and I'll say it again. ENTPs will do anything to start a discussion... even change their type.

There are three big reasons to explain why alot of ENTPs are "popping" up:

1. McNew's test, which just loves an ENTP output.. I don't know why.
2. This theory was created by an INTj/ENTp; therefore, alot of ENTp types are attracted to it. So when people test ENTp, they could very well be ENTp.
3. ENTp's are loud. When they get a result, they loud mouth it around.. giving the illusion that their numbers are out of proportion with everyone else's.

What about some real investigation?

This seems all clear to me, I just can't explain it.

I think "reconsidering your type like this" means jumping to conclusions before considering putting an "x" in your type acronym. So that wouldnt include you, as far as I can see.

Just my opinions, believe at your own risk...

I think that there are so many behavoirs that people consider "typical" ENTp behaviours. Also, many people consider typing words on a screen to translate into behaviour, and type people based on that. This is not to say that it's completely wrong, but just is maybe a little bit inaccurate.

For example, the ENTp's.

ENTp is a great type to want to be. The Ne Ti thing seems to be considered to be able to solve anything. People don't realize that the type is part of your personality base, and pretty much unrelated to your actual ability to solve problems.

Sergi Ganin, and his alternative view of socionics, furthers this opinion.

And since N vs. S is the easiest thing to figure out, you have many intuitive types considering ENTp because they think:

1. They are smart.
2. They can have trouble being successful.
3. They can have trouble with people.
4. They can seem introverted due to weak F.
5. They are creative.
6. They are dynamic.

...and so on and so forth.

However, all the traits described above can be ANYONE.

Almost everyone has problems with people, almost everyone is insecure about thier intellegence, almost everyone has trouble being successful.

There is a certain "naiveness" and "weakness" in an ENTp. For instance, I think WW was a good example. Blaze is a good example of an ENTp with life experience. (MysticSonic is also a great example of the Ti Ne nature.)

People sometimes will fixate on a type for a person on here, and then all of thier behaviours become generalized to a certain type. (I've been 3 types on here.)

Basically, it is nice to wish you were a type that seems like a "genius" (and nicer when you have a bunch of internet folks telling you that you are) but people eventually see that they are not ENTp, and realize they are something else.

Yes you are right, I once thought of myself as an ENTP for the same reason. I just found them so fascinating and found some attrbibutes similar to mine and I actually began to believe I was an ENTP for a while. Though, slowly with time, I realized that I wasn't much of a thinker and I showed my friends the ENFp description and they said it fit me well, so I sticked with that.

However, I am actually quite introverted with people I just met or can't relate to, unless I am with people I know well, then I am very extraverted.
