Police officer - Too physical, stressful, and potentially violent. I would like the helping side of it, but not the enforcing.

Accountant or financial planner - Not my thing at all. In fact, it almost sounds like a nightmare job.

Detective - I would not do well if it was just me, but it might be fun to play a supporting role.

Lawyer / Attorney - Heh, I've been told I'd make a good one, but I'm not sure it'd be right for me. For one thing I'd probably have to memorize a lot, for another I'd have to argue, and for yet another I might get assigned to defend someone I didn't like.

Judge - Too many decisions. Though the idea of helping to make the world a fairer place does sound nice.

Teacher [early childhood education] - I could do this if it were less than five kids at a time. Preferably even less than that. I don't have enough energy or enthusiasm to keep up with them.

Teacher [middle grades or high school] - I do this part-time already and like it. It's draining, but very rewarding.

Teacher [physical education/gym] - I fail at physical things in general, so teaching it is probably out of the question.

Professor [college] - Yeah, I could do this, too. "College professor" sounds a little intimidating, but really it's just passing along your knowledge to other people, just like with younger ages. As long as they'd want what I had to share I think it would be good.

Archeologist - Hm, maybe. I don't know that I'd be able to maintain focus, though.

Sales representative - It depends on what I'm having to sell. But, probably not.

Designer [interior decorating; fashion; etc.] - I do some of this for my current job already. But it's based more on principles and my own likes rather than knowing and implementing trends. I wouldn't (and don't) do well in fashion or interior decorating.

Nurse - Helping people is good; blood is bad. I can help people in other ways.

Counselor or psychologist - I've done this a little (not professionally), and just from the small taste I've had I don't think I could handle it. I might get too involved with my client's problem and take on too many of their burdens.

Psychiatrist - Kind of similar to the above, I think.

Administrative assistant / Secretary - I have done and could do this again. It kind of depends on who I'm assisting, though.

Librarian - I've thought about this, actually. I don't know everything that's involved, but I think I could do it well and even enjoy it. It would be a low-key way of being helpful, which is right up my alley.

Sailor - Oh, goodness, no. For one thing, I hate the idea of the dark, cold, fathomless deeps of the ocean with who-know-what-sort of gross things floating around in it... For another, I don't think I have the vocabulary.

Mechanic - I'd probably end up chopping off a finger. It's good and useful, but not my cup of tea.

    Stripper - No.

    Porn star - Definitely no.

Pilot - Hm, not as a job I don't think. Might be fun to learn, though.

Flight attendant - Too many people to smile at, and too much likelihood of getting air sick.

Actor - Probably not. I hate being in front of a camera or in front of people in general.

Politician - I'd rather be their aide. That way I could still be involved but I wouldn't have to be the center of attention.

Artist - I do that somewhat already, though apart from how it leaks into my current occupation I haven't gotten much money from it. But I do really like it.

Engineer - Probably not. I don't think my mind works quite like that, plus I don't think I'd enjoy it all that much.

Professional athlete - Not qualified in the least, plus I wouldn't enjoy it.

Entrepreneur - Doing that. I don't/wouldn't like doing it alone, though. I need someone who has more business sense and can help enforce and keep track of and even organize things.

    Doctor - Same as nurse.

Scientist - That's a very broad field. But, in any case, I wouldn't do it professionally, I don't think.

Public Relations Specialist - I could help with that, maybe, but I wouldn't necessarily want to be in charge of it.

Computer programmer - I'm doing this one, too. I can do it and sometimes it's enjoyable. I wouldn't like to have to do it all the time.

News anchor - Cameras = no.

    Janitor - No.

Writer [novelist; poet; journalist; etc.] - If I got paid to spend time putting my imagination onto a page I think that would be fun.
Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.

Seems you haven't read my report.

Police officer -- nope. I would fear the Se needed. I would want to call the cops if I saw anything happen.

Accountant or financial planner -- I could do it, but wouldn't want to. Would prefer financial planner for the slightly bigger picture focus. Would have to make a ton of $$.

Detective -- no. Logic, details and patience combined.

Lawyer / Attorney -- I could do it, but wouldn't want to. I always liked debate, but not in a "real world" way where people are affected by my possibly bad arguing.

Judge -- no, I would feel pretentious.

Teacher [early childhood education] --I would probably be bored.

Teacher [middle grades or high school] --I wouldn't want to have to follow the rules, much less make the kids.

Teacher --[physical education/gym] Wouldn't be as bad, but wouldn't be good.

Professor [college] -- I would feel arrogant. But if I got complete freedom to teach interesting useful things it could be great. But in the real world, no.

Archeologist -- it might be fun to dig things up and find them, but the documentation and dusting off of objects and detail would kill me

Sales representative -- I've done it and it isn't so bad. I like the people part anyway.

Designer [interior decorating; fashion; etc.] -- would be OK, except if I had to do a lot of detailed work like measurements

Nurse -- no. details I could easily mess up!

Counselor or psychologist -- possibly, but I'd prefer to not work with unhealthy people

Psychiatrist -- I don't really like prescription drugs. Maybe a holistic health thing instead.

Administrative assistant / Secretary -- too many details, but I've done it and it wasn't that bad because I'm a people-pleaser and can force myself to do it.

Librarian -- generally, no. But in some situations it could be OK if it was subjects I liked that people would ask in-depth questions about that would allow me to rant.

Sailor -- I would be afraid to be far from land

Mechanic -- I wouldn't want to be greasy and being under a car would make me claustrophobic

Stripper -- if I could keep my clothes on, sure. But that would not be a stripper I guess.

    Porn star -- no

    Pilot -- too much pressure.

Flight attendant -- possibly. I don't like the feeling of being on a plane though. But getting people snacks wouldn't be so bad.

Actor -- that'd be super fun. I did some of that before and loved it

Politician -- it would be OK except you would get so much criticism

Artist -- yeah that'd be fun

    Engineer -- no way...details

Professional athlete -- if I had the skills that'd be awesome. But I don't!

    Entrepreneur -- fun times

Doctor -- I could maybe if it wasn't surgery. I'd like interacting w/ patients, but the system as it is...I would quickly lose my idealism

Scientist -- if it was studying psychology or how socionics works in the brain or something, then yeah! But doing routine things would be boring.

Public Relations Specialist -- done that and liked it, except some of the boring parts

Computer programmer -- most likely not, unless it didn't take that long to get the gist of the code and I could make it do cool things

News anchor -- that'd be fun

Janitor -- this wouldn't be as bad as some of the others.

Writer [novelist; poet; journalist; etc.][/QUOTE] -- did this one and liked it, except I missed the people interaction

All of these careers seem pretty boring.

I'd like to be a squadron commander elitist and strategist without all the political garbage behind it. I've very good with a map and with the wind as my guide.
