Police officer - Too physical, stressful, and potentially violent. I would like the helping side of it, but not the enforcing.
Accountant or financial planner - Not my thing at all. In fact, it almost sounds like a nightmare job.
Detective - I would not do well if it was just me, but it might be fun to play a supporting role.
Lawyer / Attorney - Heh, I've been told I'd make a good one, but I'm not sure it'd be right for me. For one thing I'd probably have to memorize a lot, for another I'd have to argue, and for yet another I might get assigned to defend someone I didn't like.
Judge - Too many decisions. Though the idea of helping to make the world a fairer place does sound nice.
Teacher [early childhood education] - I could do this if it were less than five kids at a time. Preferably even less than that. I don't have enough energy or enthusiasm to keep up with them.
Teacher [middle grades or high school] - I do this part-time already and like it. It's draining, but very rewarding.
Teacher [physical education/gym] - I fail at physical things in general, so teaching it is probably out of the question.
Professor [college] - Yeah, I could do this, too. "College professor" sounds a little intimidating, but really it's just passing along your knowledge to other people, just like with younger ages. As long as they'd want what I had to share I think it would be good.
Archeologist - Hm, maybe. I don't know that I'd be able to maintain focus, though.
Sales representative - It depends on what I'm having to sell. But, probably not.
Designer [interior decorating; fashion; etc.] - I do some of this for my current job already. But it's based more on principles and my own likes rather than knowing and implementing trends. I wouldn't (and don't) do well in fashion or interior decorating.
Nurse - Helping people is good; blood is bad. I can help people in other ways.
Counselor or psychologist - I've done this a little (not professionally), and just from the small taste I've had I don't think I could handle it. I might get too involved with my client's problem and take on too many of their burdens.
Psychiatrist - Kind of similar to the above, I think.
Administrative assistant / Secretary - I have done and could do this again. It kind of depends on who I'm assisting, though.
Librarian - I've thought about this, actually. I don't know everything that's involved, but I think I could do it well and even enjoy it. It would be a low-key way of being helpful, which is right up my alley.
Sailor - Oh, goodness, no. For one thing, I hate the idea of the dark, cold, fathomless deeps of the ocean with who-know-what-sort of gross things floating around in it... For another, I don't think I have the vocabulary.
Mechanic - I'd probably end up chopping off a finger. It's good and useful, but not my cup of tea.
Stripper - No.
Porn star - Definitely no.
Pilot - Hm, not as a job I don't think. Might be fun to learn, though.
Flight attendant - Too many people to smile at, and too much likelihood of getting air sick.
Actor - Probably not. I hate being in front of a camera or in front of people in general.
Politician - I'd rather be their aide. That way I could still be involved but I wouldn't have to be the center of attention.
Artist - I do that somewhat already, though apart from how it leaks into my current occupation I haven't gotten much money from it. But I do really like it.
Engineer - Probably not. I don't think my mind works quite like that, plus I don't think I'd enjoy it all that much.
Professional athlete - Not qualified in the least, plus I wouldn't enjoy it.
Entrepreneur - Doing that. I don't/wouldn't like doing it alone, though. I need someone who has more business sense and can help enforce and keep track of and even organize things.
Doctor - Same as nurse.
Scientist - That's a very broad field. But, in any case, I wouldn't do it professionally, I don't think.
Public Relations Specialist - I could help with that, maybe, but I wouldn't necessarily want to be in charge of it.
Computer programmer - I'm doing this one, too. I can do it and sometimes it's enjoyable. I wouldn't like to have to do it all the time.
News anchor - Cameras = no.
Janitor - No.
Writer [novelist; poet; journalist; etc.] - If I got paid to spend time putting my imagination onto a page I think that would be fun.
