Have you heard of Boards of Canada? I've been meaning to get some of their albums for a while.
Here's one that didn't fit on and that I've thought of recently. More relevant a few years ago than now, but I still remember it as my favourite of their albums:
Yes, my favourite album is The Campfire Headphase. Everything I've heard by them I really like, but I highly recommend TCH and the album Geogaddi.
I got some of their music off this piece of software that trawls internet radio stations for artists you select - the stuff from a live album sounded very good.
I listened to some Thievery Corporation on your recommendation and I thought they were alright. And I got that Vangelis soundtrack from when you uploaded it before...that's fantastic. I've only heard some Ulrich Schnauss, so I don't know what to make of him yet.
Smile.
From Modern times. That one rips me to shreds.
First eliminate every possible source of error. Thence success is inevitable.

But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...

I totally agree on AIR and Goldfrapp - each is their best album (although Goldfrapp's is closely contended by Black Cherry). Morrissey FTW, although I prefer Ringleader of the Tormentors. "Life Is A Pigsty" is fucking immense, and "The Father Who Must Be Killed" is also amazing, especially near its climax.
I like Achtung Baby, but it's too poppy to be masterful like The Unforgettable Fire.
Awesome track. Just a shame it's been overused to no end.
Yeah, I heard of them from their featuring on this, and it's probably one of the best tracks on the album from which it comes:

Very good album (better than that Las Vegas one), but I prefer Victorialand.
Not sure if moves my soul is the right way to phrase it, but I came across this. It definitely has a legendary status.

Nice!
Mostly I go through phases with music that are largely dependent on my mood, but there are a few songs that I will always love and can listen to anytime....
Aqualung - Strange & Beautiful
Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek
Keane - Sunshine
Muse - Unintended
Royksopp - Only this Moment
Wavorly - A Summer's Song
And probably a few others that don't immediately come to mind. But really... this song is so beautiful.
Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

...the human race will disappear. Other races will appear and disappear in turn. The sky will become icy and void, pierced by the feeble light of half-dead stars. Which will also disappear. Everything will disappear. And what human beings do is just as free of sense as the free motion of elementary particles. Good, evil, morality, feelings? Pure 'Victorian fictions'.

Lastly, I've been listen a lot of shoegaze music: Ride, Lush, Pale Saints, My Bloody Valentine but mostly, Slowdive. New nugaze stuff are cool too, like LSD and the search for god, Amusement parks on fire, the daysleepers and so... it's a really, really mesmerizing music. Give it a try.
You'll probably like Goodbye most if you're into the indie rock (with electronic-touched elements) side of shoegaze, but I'm bigger on the soundscapes of it all, which is best provided by the albums Far Away Trains Passing By and A Strangely Isolated Place, both of which have a more electronic sound to them than the former album.
Yeah it's lame. Actually my account name was named after Manowar video Return of the Warlord, because I was watching it when I made this account. But I couldn't find a single copy of that video in youtube now.

it has that feel good vibe to it kind of like everytime i hear "ooh child" or old rocksteady songs like .
they make me emo basically.
