Haha, there's the SLI I know... He takes so much shit about his type--I'd be pissed off too.

Gilligan, you think me and LokiV are the same type, i.e. Si-SEI? I know that I haven't interacted with you much, but is that your impression?

I hadn't had any particular thoughts about the two of you being the same type.

I have had second thoughts about the possibility of your being IEE, though. Can't really say much about it right now, to be honest. I don't have a strong impression of your type one way or the other. A few things made me think Fe>Fi, but I'm really not sure.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

...chill out, dude. I never claimed to give any kind of analysis that shows IEI conclusively. It's just my impression of her, ok? Take your anger somewhere else.

rofl.. though I can see why it looks like it, I'm not angry. It's just my way of expressing satire.

OK, so I've obviously started digging a hole for myself. I'm not sure how much good this will do, but here goes:

I'm sorry if my style of posting was offensive to you and I admit it was done on a whim. I'm not going to try and excuse what I've done, although if you would rather I do so then I shall remove it. It's your call.

EDIT: On second thoughts I might as well delete it anyway since it'll cause more trouble than it's worth. No doubt some will see this as cowardly, but meh, better cowardly than dead.

Gilly I don't think you really know what is.

You say LV is a beta NF
And you say I am Fe dual seeking.

I'm looking for an article in ricks blog about this: it seems whenever people see something related to a certain element, they just make a specific interpretation of it, rather than actually looking how and why it is used. Each type uses Fe, but it is not the APPEARANCE or LACK OF APPEARANCE of Fe that determines whether a type is Fe valuing or not.

    It's not MBTI.

BLauritson: it comes across as funny to me, not angry, lol... Irreverent... Is this perception a manifestation of Fi vs. Fe valuing?

Cyclops: we will have fun, for sure. I really want to get over there!

    Rick's Blog: http://socionist.blogspot.com/2007/0...s-to-make.html

Each of us has all eight modules and uses all of them. This, I believe, should be understood concretely rather than abstractly. When you're interacting with people in a certain situation, you're using one or more of those modules. In different situations you tend to use different modules. In the course of the day you may switch back and forth between many or most of your psychic functions. Within a conversation, you may touch on many different kinds of information and briefly activate the many different kinds of thinking that are accessible to nearly all humans. In most situations, after you are used to people, you can identify which psychic function (or "IM element") they are using and which information aspect they are focused on. The aspects may change minute by minute and second by second. One almost never has a conversation where one presents information only through one's strongest functions, which is what the static view of personality type would suggest.

Sorry if I misread you Lauritson, you just seemed pissed off to me...you don't have to rescind your comments or anything but uhh...I dunno, that was some confusing shit if you weren't angry

Jesse above and beyond all things I see you as IJ temperament. I don't know what kind of point you're trying to make with this quote from Rick's blog but it doesn't really change my perception of you or LokiV.

lol, it's OK...I tend to get paranoid if I think I've accidentally stirred up some drama or pissed someone off or whatever, which makes me overreact to try and sort things out. Fe PoLR probably. Having had time to calm down, reflect on things and speak with a couple of other people about it, I've decided to re-post what I said, minus the silliness (i.e. just my reasoning for Kelly being SEE):

    - She's very much aware of the environment around her (Se-ego)
    - She has a spontaneous nature to her and is usually inclined to act on her whims (EP temperament)
    - She's very good at mobilising me or otherwise bringing me back to reality when I zone out (which I do a lot) and does so naturally (common trait of ESxp-INxp interaction)
    - The way her EIE roommate makes a big deal out of simple things or gets otherwise emotional seems to annoy her (de-valued Fe)
    - She gets excitable without getting emotional (SEE anyone?)

I could probably think of more examples and interpretations if I thought on it for long enough, but that's what comes to mind at the moment.

I don't think her reaction to her roommate is a very good case for lack of valued Fe; she's a fucking drama queen, anyone can hate that shit. I know I would.

Spontaneous and inclined to act on whims...that could be just as easily said of any Fe type as an EP temperament (certainly of me).

Excitable without being emotional...I think my coworkers would almost definitely say that about me.

Aware of environment, sure, sounds like a sensor, but I guess it's more of a detail.

Not really trying to "prove" you wrong or anything, but I want you to see that it's not a very exclusive case for SEE you have there.
