It's definitely not a family movie or anything, but it's pretty interesting. I think it touches nicely on some of the themes in this thread actually (as far as the 'fakeness' of Fe/Fi). Paul Rudd kind of overdoes an impression of infantilism in some respects, but overall I thought it was worth seeing.

Harvest will come

I know another Fe base girl who has the same complaints about me as you do.
I still love ya though.

I've heard some Fe types say stuff like...
"I hate you!"
"I wish you'd just leave."
"You're such an asshole. I don't know how I put up with you."
"I don't know why we're even together anymore."
"You're so stupid and annoying!"
...etc. when they're super pissed. Fi valuing types (especially Te types) see these as indications of the state of the relationship. Fe valuing types seem to be more likely to understand that they're just expressed frustration and didn't mean it literally.
I'll tell Peter to check it out, and if he downloads it I'll watch it.
I agree with Joy. With socionics I've learned otherwise, but my natural inclination, when hearing those kinds of stuff, is to think "aha, the mask has slipped. That's what s/he really thinks. Very well then".

I wonder what things look like from their end of things if you assume that they meant it and stop talking to them for the most part. Will they wonder why you're so reactive or sensitive or difficult... or something? Or will they just assume, similar to what Kristiina said, that it's better that you didn't talk if that's what it turned into?
I could certainly see how a Fe type would see this as being cold, especially if that person was going through a rough time or was upset with you over something else or whatever. I could see how it could even be seen as a betrayal, now that I really think about it. Maybe that's more of a Te/Fi perspective though?
Disclaimer: I'm not saying that if a situation like this occurs, it automatically means that the person who said that is a Ti/Fe type. I think Te/Fi types can say stuff like that too, but they probably mean it in a less "dynamic" way when they do.
Fe: just because someone was pissed at you yesterday, doesn't mean they'll be pissed at you today.
haha.
Fe is both incredibly warm one second and incredibly cold the next. I don't like dealing with it, but if I have to I guess it's not so bad as long as I keep in mind stuff like "Oh, he doesn't really mean that" or "She's just being emotional."
The hard part is if I don't deal with these people I kinda lose the touch real quick.
Edit: HK, my problem isn't that they say exaggerated things like "I hate you" or "I love you". My problem is they throw around "I hate you's" just as easily as "I love you's". Now how's that for confusing? I just assume they're full of bullshit on both accounts.

Constant exposure to strong Fe can fuck someone (like me) up very bad.

Something sort of similar to my example happened relatively recently with someone I was talking to via IM, and I don't talk to that person very much anymore. It isn't because of that conversation though, and it isn't because I don't want to talk to that person or because I'm upset or anything like that... I just don't sign on to yahoo very often anymore. I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to express this or not.
