this is just too much
All logic reason on the belief that our sensory perceptions are accuarate. Stop playing semantics with me and act like the intelligent person you obviously are.
Look at me, I'm a 15 year old male condescending to an adult. The power of the annonymity of the internet.
Ok! Ok! Ok! This has gone a bit far. I don’t know, maybe I should not get into this, but this argument has gone retarded, I mean one from socionics and free thought to Ad-hominems. Yes I know I may have been the first explicit ad hominem user, but I have since taken it back. LevKamensky I would like to apologize. I misinterpreted your objective. I became gun-ho over what I thought was a bad premise. If at all possible I would like to take back some of the things I wrote. Maybe we should all have a three-day break from this discussion. I don’t know, just a suggestion.
The very first empirical system of knowledge I started, when I was very young, was computers. I found them facinating, and I loved how they worked well with introverted logic. A few years ago socionics became another system of knowledge I found very interesting so I started building empirical knowledge based on that. Back to the point, you were right, it wasn't my plan in the beginning, but it sounds good now because it works out better. And I can ban anyone using road runner in houston, guest or otherwise. I mean your IP address hasn't changed in days(typical of Road Runner), so really a small class C block would have done the trick. I'm still not going to do that, because this is becoming increasingly fun for me. I've never stalked anyone before, but I have called people using public information who have posted on the internet. Like you. I called your mom. Last night.Originally Posted by Anonymous

Don't even consider banning him, it's not like he's doing anything incredibly intolerable. I'm really against such authoritative measures.
I've got some pop-corn in the microwave, a beer by my side. You know, taking it easy, watching the fight.
The full honest truth:
I misjudged you at first, I found your postings incredibly silly. However, since then I've recognized that there is quite a bit of good advice that _could_ be useful to us here on the forums, although it appears you've pissed almost everyone off. Then I started to mess with you, and I called your house, which was probably over the line. I really am disappointed as I know you have more knowledge of socionics and psychology in general than most everybody on the forums(including me), but the conflict(not just with me) that you have singlehandedly been causing has been the most conflict these forums have seen since their inception.

Nah, I wouldn't ban anyone... banning is used for spammers or something or automated spam computers searching for forums to make an account on then spam. I have never banned anyone from the forums. Banning is not much fun....
yeaa right whatever. it's funny how all these threats are coming of blocking me etc. i never made threats to take punitive action for invading my privacy, or using copyrighted information without my permession. it's below my dignity to make pety threats. you'll block my ip address? so what? i could change my ip. u know how many internet cafes there are? i am sure it's fun for you, because you don't have a life, but me, i am doing a big research project on seduction, and i don't have time to argue with you, so i'll try to ignore you unless you start slagging me again.Originally Posted by admin
i want to apologize to everyone. i was a little ahead of myself about the pop-corn thing. you see, its like this.
i HAVE popcorn, but its sorta old. i went to get it and put it in the microwave AFTER the post, but then i was like "whoa, wait, this stuff is sorta old" so i really didnt microwave any pop-corn. It isnt that im a liar, i just got ahead of myself. I apologize. <oops
I just want to make that clear.
there, I got one more inOriginally Posted by admin

hahahaa, I'm glad you made the correction. I couldn't believe you had popcorn! Especially fresh popcorn...I hope you weren't lying about the beer tho. You better not be, people who lie about beer get stalked around here....Originally Posted by Waddlesworth

This sure is the longest topic we've ever had though. And to think we could divide some of our most smallest topics by half in posts, and we would still get a relatively equal amount of intelligent posts in both this topic and the other.
If we discounted yours that might level the playing field.
jus kidding
haha!
well, actually, i'll be honest again... i DID lie about the beer. its ACTUALLY a 'designer' malt beverage. more specifically a "mikes hard lemonade", which is a quality malt beverage in my opinion.
the reason for my not saying it was a "mikes hard lemonade" is that alot of people associate them with girly men, and i didnt want to come across that way. i wanted to seem like one of the guys, cause i am, im a cool guy, you know?
I agree, although it's the most fun I've had on my forums in a while, I kinda like it when our intellectual discussions get interrupted with some sillyness(I mean that in the silly sense, like ).Originally Posted by MysticSonic
So what, Admin, even if i were silly? there are many silly people out there, are you rude to all of them? You don't believe that being respected is a BASIC HUMAN RIGHT? Are you an elitist? DO you not believe in communicating in a manner worthy of the human title?
Being the moralizing holier than thou INFJ swot that I am, I cannot but find the general tone of this discussion below the elevated genius of the right honorable gentlemen and only inclined to demean the honor of all parties concerned. As painful as suffering slights can be, it is my firm conviction that sometimes it is better to just turn the other cheek.
Pain from gossip comes when we are on the receiving end of the gossip trail. Speaking ill of others is particularly bad because words, once uttered, can never be recalled. It's like the rabbi pointed out in this story:
There was a man in a small town in Eastern Europe who went around slandering a rabbi. One day, feeling bad about what he had done, he went to the rabbi to ask for forgiveness.
"Take a pillow," said the rabbi, "cut it up and shake out the feathers." The man did as he was told and then he returned to the rabbi to get forgiveness. "First," said the rabbi, "go collect all the feathers."
"But that's impossible," said the man. "They've gone everywhere."
"It's as impossible to repair the damage done by your words as it is to recover all the feathers," said the rabbi.

Humor can be a means to disconnect one from reality.
that quote comes from an intense intellectual movie called 'Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory'. I hear Tim Burton is remaking it with Johnny Depp as the main actor...the previews look really really weird....A little nonsense, now and then, is relished by the wisest men

That's sweet CuriousSoul. Unfortunately by turning the other cheek we are communicating to the perpetrator that his behavior is acceptable. What are you going to disarm them with your goodness? Sorry, that rarely works in real life.
woah, cool. but im mean, come on, how can Johnny Depp EVER replace Gene Wilder?
Lev, I believe you're making all these insuations, when in reality it's just a crossfire over a discussion board. I don't see why you're getting so worked up.

I finally understand why you find this topic to be so funny, you're under the influence!
I don't know man, I was real into the movie and the books (and all the other Roald Dahl books), I don't think it can ever replace the classic the original was, but it might be good in it's own right. Tim Burton has yet to disappoint me...Originally Posted by Waddlesworth

movies are so expensive these days.
i am a workaholic
yeah, i gotta check it out.
i got a gift certificate to sony theaters for christmas. it should be good to finally use it. movies are just so expensive these days.
im a full time student, work 30 hours a week. its nice to wind down now and again.
I would like to clarify that I felt compelled to make my point, because I have had a fair share of experience with my online messages being misunderstood and have gradually come to see the wisdom of talking softly and leaving the big stick home. Humor just does not come across very well online. The message I send is never quite the same as the message you receíve.
thanks everybody, I'm out, taking my icehouse with me. All the way to my Xbox to play some virtual golf. Hopefully my friend from high school I saw today will call me and it won't be another boring night at my appt again...
curious soul, you are a warm and compassionate person. a good person. a quality person. I enjoy you.
but the term "big stick" just made me, as the kids say "LOL"
one more question, youre a finn, right? i was meaning to ask you- what type was Jan Sibelius? i know he was a swede by blood, but he is a finnish national hero, right? but maybe you can still fill me in on that.
Well according to another interpretation "turning the other cheek" is actually clearly an act of defiance, and at the time it would have been universally understood as such. Think about it.Originally Posted by Anonymous
