What harsh judgment are you referring to? I was chastising Dio for believing someone who openly admits he's not to be trusted. No judgment involved, just stating facts.

If you want my judgment, it'd be that Gilly is begging to have someone set some boundaries, kick his butt and not let him get away with crap, but it needs to be someone that he likes and respects, and will listen to. He's at that know-it-all stage where he's not very teachable, but could really use someone he looks up to schooling him in a big way, before he sabotages himself, and self-destructs. Unfortunately it seems he's surrounded by weenies, and the only ones he wants to listen to are too busy babying and protecting him to do what would actually help the kid. Too many people are letting him get by on charm or whatever, and it's not what he needs, or is clamoring for. There's me being judgmental. Saying something that he's stated himself many times is not really a judgment at all.

hard question. i mean most of "humanity" is poor and in bits. the US humanity probably has some TJ type as the "most important one". NA's integral quadra is supposed to be delta/gamma from what i've heard.

I agree completely. That might tell us something. I think that humanity is not as technologically driven as many think today (MIT for instance).

dio, are you trying to type "humanity", or "human culture" ? You seem to use these terms interchangeably. Give some form of term definition for what you mean to avoid confusion and misunderstanding.

Also, i might have missed sth., but humanity has not been believed to be very technologically-minded. If you consider evolution and all, i'd say not technologically minded at all. Actually, according to Pinker, humanity needs to focus on technology and such (i'm using generic wordings here coz i need to go to bed) precisely coz it's at a disadvantage in that respect.

i'd say some SF or NF type at the moment, but it's a general impression. it's quite possible that the "dominant" type changes over time. antiquity seemed ST dominated, the middle ages sth else altogether, perhaps NF.

anyway, i'm basing this on "human culture" evolution and trends - i have no statistics.
