Allie that is simplty stunning. I love the way it captures emotion..not so much strong emotion, but the character of the subject. Very naturally beautiful.

So I started by sketching, and then painted it in photoshop...

He was the most interesting thing at the state fair. I hate state fairs. I wanted to kill myself, but then I saw him—on his way to ride the elephant. <3
She's cute too.

Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.
Thanks Minde No I just used a regular mouse for this one - I have a tablet, but honestly it just annoys me. It's too sensitive and I can't be bothered dealing with the driver software to change that, so I tend to use it very occasionally and then unplug it within 5 minutes after getting annoyed. I'm hoping to get a Wacom Cintiq in the near future (hello Christmas), this would be much better. Anyway thanks

A few pics I snapped last night while wandering around downtown Portland with a camera and tripod.
This one came out a bit fuzzy since it was hand held with a rather long exposure... still came out kinda cool because the train that was going by had some open cars that were easy to see through when it went by... allowing me to take the pic of the chick who was waiting on the train to pass across the tracks from me.
I've been drawing apples for hours. It's my first time using colored pencils for realism. I haven't used colored pencils since I was in elementary school, so I'm not really satisfied with my technique yet. Still life:
It came out better than I expected for my first try. The glass is probably going to be a bitch to do, though.

A few pics I snapped last night up at a hospital up on top of a big hill overlooking Portland.
In this pic you can kinda see Mt. Hood in the background, I knew it was there while taking the pic but I couldn't see it myself, so I thought it was cool how it kinda popped out in this pic a bit.
The building I was shooting next to, I don't usually go to hospitals for fun...lol
I really liked this one after I got it up on the computer, shooting night landscapes is always hit or miss with me. I shot 120 pics a few nights ago and I got about 8 I liked, last night I shot about 40 pics and found 10 or so I think are worth posting.
This one came out ok considering I didn't even line it up looking through the camera itself, I just set my camera looking straight up from the bottom of the building and hoped it would look ok...lol. We had a really bright full moon last night so I tried to get it in some way. This was pretty much all I could do with it.
A few more taken from a little footbridge in downtown PDX @ Portland State University last night.
Wow. I absolutely love the trails created by the lights in that setting.
I like them. Which hospital?
Ssmall, nice pictures. Thanks for posting them. I like seeing far away places, especially when the pictures are well done and have the personal touch of being taken by someone I (sort of) know.
Allie, very good, as always. Yeah, I can imagine the glass is going to be difficult. On the other hand, I've had fun "mindlessly" drawing glass things, like marbles or cups - just turning my brain off and focussing on the values and shapes and hues. When I stop trying to make sense of what I see, it becomes relaxing and usually turns out better, too. Anyway, I look forward to seeing how you progress.

Cracka, awesome pics. Well done, man.
