A few pics I snapped last night up at a hospital up on top of a big hill overlooking Portland.

In this pic you can kinda see Mt. Hood in the background, I knew it was there while taking the pic but I couldn't see it myself, so I thought it was cool how it kinda popped out in this pic a bit.

The building I was shooting next to, I don't usually go to hospitals for fun...lol

I really liked this one after I got it up on the computer, shooting night landscapes is always hit or miss with me. I shot 120 pics a few nights ago and I got about 8 I liked, last night I shot about 40 pics and found 10 or so I think are worth posting.

This one came out ok considering I didn't even line it up looking through the camera itself, I just set my camera looking straight up from the bottom of the building and hoped it would look ok...lol. We had a really bright full moon last night so I tried to get it in some way. This was pretty much all I could do with it.

Wow. I absolutely love the trails created by the lights in that setting.

A Nikon D80... at this point my only two lenses are my 50mm and my 18-200mm lens seen here.

    I like them. Which hospital?

Ssmall, nice pictures. Thanks for posting them. I like seeing far away places, especially when the pictures are well done and have the personal touch of being taken by someone I (sort of) know.

Allie, very good, as always. Yeah, I can imagine the glass is going to be difficult. On the other hand, I've had fun "mindlessly" drawing glass things, like marbles or cups - just turning my brain off and focussing on the values and shapes and hues. When I stop trying to make sense of what I see, it becomes relaxing and usually turns out better, too. Anyway, I look forward to seeing how you progress.
Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.
