Wow, you called people "nice" twice in one sentence. You seem to have a rather high opinion of those ******s.

I appreciate the chivalry. (And I mean that in a very non-sarcastic way. I really do appreciate it.) I like being with people where I can feel safe with them.

You keep calling them names. Why?

I still don't know why Parkster was calling people he doesn't know names.

Spring is officially here. And I will probably (hopefully) find myself with camera in hand more often now that nature's color palette is moving toward more saturation and variety.

But I don't really want to wait to accumulate more pictures before sharing a few I got this weekend (click to see larger):

My friend has a pony and a giant kitten (which she rescued from abandonment and starvation). She's an animal person, for sure. Any animal is lucky to be in her care.

    No, I didn't really know.

Clear communication, my friend, will prevent many a misunderstanding, which will in turn help preserve mutual attachment and congeniality. Unlike you toward most people (apparently), I will usually assume your intentions are good and give you the benefit of the doubt. But it really does help when you can be clear at the start what you're intending. Even if that means losing some of the effects of the joke or having to dumb things down.

Anyway, by default, don't call people names if you want them to like you. And, yes, Mr. Grumpy-Pants-ISTp, you want people to like you; it makes life easier.

I only want people I like to like me, and even that is not always necessary. But thanks for asking.

Maybe I don't like communicating my intentions openly, and with everyone. Besides, what intentions have I not been clear about with you?

I have a Canon 40D, and for most of those I used the Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. I also have the kit Canon 28-135mm IS lens.

Proves that the camera doesn't matter just the person behind it.

I'm trying to get that lens too, I've heard a lot about it. So far I have the standard 18-135mm from a recent 7D I bought.

I can get a Nikon P100 for a very low price, but I have no idea if it's any good. I like the girl with the umbrella.

Imagine a Swiss Army knife, that camera is like that except all of the metal parts are dulled out. Not so sharp. But then again, honestly in the grand scheme of things any camera can work. All of the pictures I posted up here way back were on the shittiest of cameras.

Thanks Minde! the baby robins were a bit tough to photograph - the mama bird was circling ahead, and I didn't want to distress her (or get pooed on or pecked for that matter ), so I had to take a bunch of shots in the dark... one of them worked great!

You've got awesome pics too (the puppy's adorable, by the way, and awwww is that you holding the puppy? )! There's a certain warmth and coziness to your pics that I like a ton (I tried to get that with some of mine, but wasn't nearly as successful)...

His name is Bunter, from a favorite character in Dorothy Sayers' Lord Peter Whimsey mystery series.

In case it isn't obvious, I him.

You've got awesome pics too (the puppy's adorable, by the way, and awwww is that you holding the puppy? )! There's a certain warmth and coziness to your pics that I like a ton (I tried to get that with some of mine, but wasn't nearly as successful)...
No, that's my sister holding him. She helped me pick him out. I've got a million pictures of her, too, haha.

Yeah, I'll bet it was tough getting the baby robins! One time my grandparents had a nest outside their window, in some bushes, but that was way before my camera. Now they have a big collie who keeps birds and squirrels and sundry other baby animals far away. So no more baby robins for me.

Boo to the no baby/small animals part my yard's the opposite, it's a bit of a sanctuary - it's everyone else who has the dogs!

Awwww at the doggie again is he a Cocker Spaniel? I knew a black Cocker Spaniel named Buster before, and he was awesome! He had a bit of a "grumpy old guy" personality, but it was likable a lot - always did these things that weren't quite barks, but long, low-pitched groan/grumbles, not threatening of course, but it seemed like as close as he could get to saying "oh, man..."

He's half black lab, half golden retriever, though he does look a little like a cocker spaniel now that you mention it. Buster sounds like a cool dog; I would have liked to know him. I'm pretty sure that Bunter is going to turn out pretty awesome as well. He loves people and cuddling, and even though he's only 9 weeks he's already learning things like sit and wait and speak and not to bite our hands.

Yay, sketching and scribbling! I wanna do that more.

My puppy is growing. I swear he grew two inches during this last nap...

This is him, wondering what I mean by "wait."
