Yup my brother is one of those IEI's People think we are very different, because I am bookish and withdrawn, while he is outgoing and gregarious, but function wise we work much the same. He is a Fe subtype.

I don't even know why you let other people even convince you into ENTERTAINING the idea of you being an extravert. C'mon now!

I wish you would do a thread like the one Mona did. But if you feel uncomfortable talking about yourself that might not be a good idea.

Yeah, it's getting on my nerves a bit. I know I'm not, but then i'll read someones reasons why I "seem" extroverted and i'll start thinking well maybe i am and then i'll start getting confused all over again. I need to stop.

Wittmont, I may do it. I am a little uncomfortable with the idea of it along with my pictures for all to see, but we'll see.

Everyone needs to attend the socionics meetings and conferences more.
    LII
that is what i was getting at. if there is an inescapable appropriation that is required in the act of understanding, this brings into question the validity of socionics in describing what is real, and hence stubborn contradictions that continue to plague me.

The problem with explaining myself is that is I'm a very indecisive person. Goals and hobbies and preferences and sometimes my personality seems change daily, i'm serious. It's hard to pin it down. Is that type related

I do background checks on people. But don't assume it's my chosen career, I hate every minute of it. I don't know what i really want to do, the law enforcement field has always been an interest of mine, i'd probobly do something in that if i could.

Not LSI but I relate to you in this, except being indecisive; the only time I'm indecisive is when I'm high and can't figure out which cereal I want to eat

I would actually love to be a detective but going through the whole "be a police officer for 8 years" is not something i want to deal with. Dealing with crying mothers and idiotic vaginal blood farts is not something I enjoy.

I've never had an interest in being a police officer, i've always wanted to be in the investigation type area...the CSI's, the FBI, private investigators..ah, that's my dream job.

Yeah I was looking into that myself but apperently you have to start as a cop for awhile before anyone would let you near a detective type job

I'd like just showing up with a dead body in front of my foot and then taking out a piece of paper and trying to piece together how this fucker broke his knee and got that fork through his skull.

Yeah, I don't think i could ever handle being a police officer for that long. That's one of the reasons i never pursued it. I don't really like the idea of sitting around radaring traffic like the a**hole cops around my area just to get my foot in the door. And I'd probobly end up shooting someone in a rage, don't think i could trust myself with a gun.

Yeah, I sadly quickly dropped the detective aspirations cuza that. I'm not sure it's for 8 years (i think it's around 2-5), but just like you said I'd hate to be the one fucker just radaring on the road, and enforcing certain laws that I just didn't agree with (although whooping people's asses could make up for that ha).

And UDP it actually does help, cuz now instead of 16 choices you have 8!

You're too nervy to be an IP, Jess. And nervy you are; it comes through in your writing and in your videos. I don't mean nervous, I mean nervy.

But seriously, we need some sort of a description. This will be so much better. At the moment, we just have random clippings of your thoughts about bullshit, like the fact that you like puppies.

So talk about your beliefs and values. If they are erratic and yo-yoish, then say so. If you can't do that, then how about saying what you spend your time doing. Talk about what kinds of people you love, and what kinds of people you hate, without saying anything about certain types, or certain functions.

Why couldn't an IP be nervy? I'm won't deny it, I don't know much about socionics. But had you met me IRL, I can almost assure you estp wouldn't even cross your mind. But yes, I am going to post another thread on my type when i get the time..and this time it will be the last one.

I was going off this. Basically, it seems like the IP is generally relaxed and unhurried, which is what nervy people are not, and Jess seemed quite alive and active in her video, and her posts seem hurried.

Oh okay. I thought you meant "nervy" as in "she has SOME NERVE!"= willing to take risks or whatever. I didn't realize you meant nervous. (tho I have to say that if I'm worried about something I can also seem nervous, moving around the house, unable to settle down. but only when something's bothering me). Anyway. Sorry about that.
