Okay so now Im super interested? Do you know of any good and detailed information available without looking at the net for really shitty and possibly inaccurate info? Maybe that's related to me?

I just remembered something. Both of my ENFp friend's HATE heat and sun. They love it when it rains (Oregon is rainy most of the time) and I HATE the rain (I get bored... cant do stuff in it). One always tells me when it is hot out or the middle of summer, "Mikkkkkkke, buy me a house in Alaska =(. " lol or my favorite of her's, "Hellllllllllo, Air Conditioner. How YOU Doin?!" haha
I'd actually ask your specialist for the information or buy a book on it. I'm sure there are all kinds of things I could be doing to help myself out a lot more.
Where I was diagnosed so young, there are all kinds of things my parents know that I don't. I'm always getting suprised with stuff. For example I was under an extreme amount of stress and lost feeling in one of my arms...I'm in a total panick thinking heart attack. Well it turned out that carpal tunnel syndrome can be caused by your thyroid levels being off. Stress can knock those off too. Once my levels got back on, the carpal tunnel syndrome went away but it took about a month.

About aspartame? It's all biased. Best thing to do is investigate the chemistry of the molecules. Chemistry tells all  . It has some nasty byproducts like methanoic acid.Originally Posted by Jadae

One this for sure is that aspartame is bad for seizure disorders. Even if you've never had a fit before, you might start having them after regular consumption. All very yuck.
Ahh, weird. Raynaud's is similar to Carpal Tunnel in feel but that was due to extremely cold hands/wrists from the lack of blood flow from hypothyroid to them external areas of those regions which causes the joints/muscles to be painful.
My brother was ranting one day (I take his rants with a grain of salt so Im not sure on the validity--I never know when he is pulling info out of his ass or not) about diet sodas being over a certain degree of temp. creating a certain type of acid that slowly destroys one of your internal organs (uh, kidneys?, dont remember).Originally Posted by ishysquishy

yes, heat makes aspartame break down into it's component poisons faster. in 20 years we'll see aspartame like we now see lead and asbestos
OOOOMG. Sorry for the spam but I just realized they both ENFp's drink shit loads of diet pepsi
Just started a new pole in general discussions at:

Just curious to see just how many on here have been diagnosed with either thyroid disorder or ADHD. Maybe we could start up a synthroid club!

Man I go away for a couple hours and the thyroid thread takes off!!!
Hyper is totally weird. For the last three weeks I am consumed with panic and anxiety, in situations where it certainly doesn't help things; like in meetings, while teaching, while running a case conference with staff. The only time I felt even sort of calm is when I'm absolutely alone and not exerting myself.
The the shaking in the legs. Simple stuff, go down the stairs and my legs feel like they're going to give out any second. And I'm in shape, too!
I've had a couple of the other symptoms for about 6 months at the most. Polly I know you had your thyroid removed - Ishy what did you do about yours?

she was only recently diagnosed, and has tried a medication that she ended up being alergic to. right now it's pretty much under control. her other health problems are of greater concern.
I was diagnosed with ADD at 49. I went on Strattera for a test ride. Man great stuff, you can focus like a laser beam, but side effects were not worth it. Then I did a personality profile and in one write up I found it said that ENTp personalities are mis-diagnosed as ADD, frequently. Now after reading this and your thread, I wonder if it's a chicken/egg thing. My mother and both grand-mothers had/have thyroid problems and my mom has Graves disease too. All 3 were quite depressive types. I don't find myself sharing any of that.Originally Posted by Polly_G

She probably does

Wait........ I don't know. We aren't opposites totally....
I think she's a "j" type, rational.

Not sure whether this has been discussed, and I had no intentions of going through the entire ten pages, but I would say that drama is not created on fostered by ENTp's. Instead, everyone around creating or having the drama, tends to make attempts to bring ENTp's into sordid messes.
I don't believe that has been said... and while I would like to believe that such is the case for me, but that whole "I don't know why, but drama just seems to follow me around no matter where I go" thing sounds rather niave. I think that most ENTps are a part of the cause of the drama around them, though they do not do it on purpose.
That was my post before Joy's. I hate it when it allows you to post without being logged in. Joy, your comments remind me of an old saying, "Even when you're not playing the game, you're playing the game."Originally Posted by Joy
I have to agree with the whole being dragged into drama thing. I have to make a conscious effort to stay uninvolved with some people because they will do that to me.
I don't know about other ENTPs but I tend to be respected, as well as my opinions, at work. So if I agree with someone who feels kind of powerless, they will often drag my name into it without my permission. "...and Polly agrees with me". Sometimes all I did was give an emphathetic nod to let them know I understood (but I don't always agree) with their standpoint.
In those situations I think they are searching for someone creditable to take their side without giving a rats ass what position they are putting you into.
These days, I just tend to keep to myself at work. I don't hang out in the lunch room with the others but no one considers me stand-offish...in fact they come to me STILL to vent. Thank god I have an office door I can close.
I'm playing a balancing act at work right now actually with two co-workers. I actually like them both but they despise each other. I see both of their points but think both are a little hard on each other. I'm doing my BEST to not get involved here , right down to slowly inching away backwards as they are talking to me...saying excuse me but I REALLY have to get this report done etc.
I'm still really nervous though because its these types who have dragged me into their woes before.

Do any other ENTps here not relate to this whole drama thing? I can't remember ever having been involved in other people's drama. I mean, if the going gets rough why don't you just cut the ropes?
Sure your not ENTJ? lol
Actually, I dunno how you can avoid drama BUT if you figure it out, let all the rest of us ENTPs know!!

You can cut the ropes, but only so many times! Seriously, I've done that a fair share... leads to lonliness. I do think that the drama is likely greater for females and for intuitive subtypes.
Polly, the whole point of this thread is that we don't do it on purpose of even realize we're doing it.

But, for a certainty, back then,

Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...
No, forget it.

I think I kind of do. I think I attract dramatic people actually. When someone comes to me with a problem, I will usually try to help them if they want the help. I'm going through a phase now where I've stopped doing that actually. Its not easy because my first impulse is to help. I just find, by being a good problem solver, I was attracting people who were looking for someone to solve their problems rather than be their friend.Originally Posted by ILENTp

It's POLLY! I miss you over at ENTP.ORG. It's pretty blah right now. As always, you seem to pluck my thoughts and feelings of self out of the air. I agree with your response here. I have always told people that I have problems with boundaries. Less of me finding the drama, and more of my name being mentioned. I share your sentiments.Originally Posted by Polly_G
