From http://socionist.blogspot.com/2007/0...scription.html (Which I definitely recommend reading)

in the Super-id means that IEEs often lose track of the effectiveness of their actions and can get carried away with details or sub-tasks that they don’t recognize as being relatively insignificant to the job as a whole. They require frequent tips on how to save time, make rational choices, and manage the work they have to do.

*whines* But they're significant to me...

On another note, I've got the link in a tab...one of four, plus the three other windows open. It's fun being Ne.

And this is filed under the section of the Ego, blocked with :

In their normal state of mind, IEEs continually have “random insights” flash into their mind about things they have been reflecting about. These insights take precedence over things they are supposed to be doing at the moment, and the IEE has to briefly stop and think about them. When they are working, IEEs have frequent random impulses to look up various information, do something else for a moment, or briefly pursue some idea of theirs. This mental quality means that IEEs usually perform multiple aspects of tasks at once, jumping from section to section as the inspiration hits them (if it hits them at all).

Not everything. I can finish large-volume books within a couple days (recently did so with both Star Wars trilogies, I think).

I can make a mean peanut butter and nutella sandwhich. All you'd need is some milk.

You don't either? All of my friends think it's weird I don't down milk by the gallon like they do. Weirdos. I tried this Brazilian bread once that had cheeze BAKED INTO the bread, they came in little balls.

Allegedly guys who drink loads of milk as adults have shown a higher chance of developing Alzeihmers than the non-drinkers. Dunno why. Its only one study tho. Stay safe man. Easy does it there. Milks just for cookies!!

Yummy. I'd say it's an IEE thing (which it is), but do ISTPs do this, too? Um...had to do with things you could do that I couldn't.

*will learn to use the multiple quote button* Wow. I can't imagine life without such a random brain, but really, it's good that you can focus that well. We are so very random...

Oh. *shrugs* Well, at least there's little to no chance of my being anything else. I prove it all over the place.

The ENFps I know can focus quite well, thank you very much. They just choose not to sometimes.

And I don't drink milk, either.

And I have, erm, 30+ tabs open at the moment.

I only multitask when I have lots of energy or when i'm bored. If I get engrossed in something I can almost forget to eat, depending on how cool it is. But it's all about that pesky "mood" i'm in.

Something I thought about as I've observed, I can work pretty hard, can also work pretty fast, but its weird cause I've been in jobs were apparently it looks like I'm not doing much, yet my results are better than if not most then lots of co workers. Its confused the occasional boss here and there. Anyone else found that?

omg, that is hilarious! i actually spent a while trying to figure out what it means. Richard Simmons crossing? In any event, I would love to see the look on drivers' faces as they try to figure that one out. LOL!

And as for the concentrating thing, I've just decided to emrace it. So I'll do one thing for 5 minutes, run across the room to do something else, run back, etc. This is why lists are good, because otherwise I'd completely forget what I need to do. I write down the top 3 or 4 things I HAVE to get done or else die or whatever, and the rest I don't worry about. If you can get just as much (or more) work done, why does it matter whether you do it all at one time, or mix it all up? This is only bad in jobs where your boss watches you and thinks your nuts for wandering around or doing 5 things at once, etc.
    Hi! I'm an ENFP. :-)

*grins* My last two jobs consisted of doing something intermittently and then waiting and doing it again. Made for good book-reading/coloring/drawing time. Even better was the period where I was stationed in a a well-traveled hallway (the set-up was mobile). People would say hi - and whatever else - to me as they passed. Anyway...being allowed to multitask is wonderful. Keeps the brain from melting.

What is this thread even about? I can't believe I made it, lol. The guy was clearly NOT an ENFP and thank god that fiasco ended. To be honest I don't even know why on earth I'd have typed him that...wishful thinking I guess.

When I came home he was missing and didn't come home that night and it got to like after 1 and he was never out that late without me. I was FURIOUS. How dare he just take off and not come home. And I was JEALOUS because my initial thought was that he was with another woman. I steamed and stewed and freaked out and cried. Then I thought and I figured he probably went to this one bar we went to together sometimes. And then I thought that if he was there he'd need a ride home because if he was mad at me and at a bar, he was drunk. So I drove out there, and he was sure enough there, and I brought him home, and I apologized for not prioritizing him, and he apologized for taking off like that, and we've literally never had a fight since, in 10 years. I learned to make him my top priority as far as my time goes, and he learned not to just take off and not have me know where he is, and neither of us has repeated those mistakes.
So, it was sort of like the intensity of those feelings of worry that went through to you? And it was your response that went through to your husband? That's amazing that you havent fought since.
