Mark Mothersbaugh: LII
One of the founders of Devo and currently a long-time composer in his own right.
Mothersbaugh's music is "quirky" and probably some of the most innovative stuff on the popular music scene. He describes (like Gene Roddenberry, another Alpha) being under considerable pressure to make his music more commercialized, and (also like Roddenberry) did give in to this pressure somewhat in his early career, then went back to his original creative impulses as he got older (conflict between Ne and Se). He describes actually being more happy writing music than performing "the same songs again" and again (lots of emphasis on novelty).
In interviews his speech and mannerisms are subdued and not very emotive. Occasionally expresses enthusiasm he felt for new approaches or sounds. His music however has a bright and optimistic sound like other Alpha writers like They Might Be Giants and Paul McCartney.
He also has a longtime association with Wes Anderson (probably another Alpha), wrote the score for five of his movies.
He is obviously deep into technology (Te) but views it as a means to create a particular sound (Si/Fe) as opposed to people who he says "worship technology".
I can relate to a lot of that, as a musician.
Especially the parts about being happier composing new music than playing the same songs over and over (super boring, in my opinion) and being into new technology less for the sake of new technology than for seeing it as a potential tool for the creation of sounds.

My word play humor is quite similiar, tbh.
Loved the creative way he explained the german "F-word".
Some puns that are not from me but it could have been me doing such puns.
It's the other way around language-wise, I think.

I think the character Bishop from the film Aliens could be LII. This might also be the case with Ash from the first film. A good study in the contrast between fictional LII hero and LII villain.
David from Prometheus/Alien: Covenant I'm not as sure about.

ILE ?
re: About that Evan guy. Yeah even at my very liberal gay-friendly high school I was surprised at how heteronormative the sex education was. We had GSAs, a huge gay population- the mayor was even gay and gay boys were not bullied to suicide like they were in so many other high schools (bullying still happened but in a much milder form), and yet the sexual education was still very tailored to heterosexuals and didn't have interesting questions about sex. I corrected this a bit when it was time to ask questions I made sure they were all LGBT-centric. The teacher also said once 'I don't see the point of having gay groups, you don't see me starting a group because I'm straight.'
Yeah cuz your orientation isn't being treated like a second class citizen you dumb bitch.
It was weird in this high school the peers supported each other but all of the anti-gay comments I heard were from teachers and authority figures. Sickening. Until the highest places of power treat us well we will not shut up.
Sorry I derailed the thread with homosexuality yet again. And I was being a SJW. Imprison me already.
