Type? He's typed as ISTp in one of the Delta threads. Wonder what the rest of the forum thinks.

A young John Cusack. LIE?
Holy shit they compare him to Cusack in that Wiki article
I agree with ISTP, for sure. He's gotten much better looking with age...very goodlooking actually.
Why am i finding young guys so attractive lately? I feel dirty.

That's one of the big drawbacks of dating an older woman. The nags are stronger and louder.

Now I am 38 or there-abouts and this Shia kid is 21. He does look like a young kid to me, but not all 21-year-olds do. Either he just looks young for his age, or I've seen old photos of him. The Harry Potter kid looks older than him and I think he's only like 18.

It isn't always a matter of age.

Peter's more emotionally mature than I am, and he's got better "life skills" than I do, too. Very rarely do I even think about the age difference.
That was my point.Originally Posted by Joy

I mean as far as what other people think, not as far as what happens within the relationship. People will notice a 5-year difference now and might comment on it, but with middle-age couples no one notices or cares.

This is the most "unrehearsed" video I could find.
to me, he has an "ezra" vibe. i also knew a young lieutenant when i was in the air force, same vibe. very driven to be a Leader.
since i don't understand all of this yet, i have a hard time believing that others fully comprehend it and can really know their type. there are too many conflicting opinions going on here to put complete trust in one opinion or the other.
so, he is selftyped as ESTp, yes.
I know what you mean. Back to Shia though, I always got an introvert vibe from him. But maybe I'm going by his movies where he usually plays the not so popular dorky (in a funny way) teen who ends up saving the world or something. Anyway, I wouldn't have thought ESTp and I don't necessarily see leadership, but I am probably totally going by the movies.
He's the Si subtype of ISTp... (my dual)
For comparison, Hayden Christensen (sp? the guy from Star Wars,) is the producing subtype of ISTp.

Hopefully this post disproves the stereotype that ISTp men usually look like John Goodman, or something like that... (Not that there's anything wrong with John Goodman's looks, or anything, hehe.)
Yes, I agree with that, but I am not sure about Shia being an ISTp. I think SLE would be a good alternative since I can easily feel his "presence" and sense a kind of composedness I wouldn't necessarily relate to ISTps. I haven't seen much of him though so this is just my basic impression.

Possibly LIE.
My impression from his movie roles has been IEE, but I think it's worth considering some Te type.
Yup.
There are only a few ppl on this forum who type with any degree of accuracy... Maybe ten ppl or so, who are usually on the right track with their typings... It really takes awhile to learn how to type accurately, an awful lot of studying ppl... Self-analysis as well.
There are ppl with 1000s of posts on this forum who are almost always way off when they type... So I'm not sure if it's a learning curve--it seems like some ppl end up getting it sooner or later, and some never do..
EDIT: for example, do you see how many types have been suggested, even in this one thread about Shia LaB..? It's nuts!
We should probably watch more than interview before coming to a conclusion, (I haven't yet, hah,) but from the one video, it seems that one could make an argument for these types for S. LaB: ISTp, ISFp, and maybe even ENTp... I wouldn't think ESTp, but Winter Park's usually on the right track, so I will investigate that one too.

He seems manic and jittery -- not at all laid back, so I'd say EJ over IP, and also weak Si. His eyes dart everywhere when he talks, and he seems to twitch his arms around while talking, as if to divert attention away from himself out of a feeling of awkwardness. He stays away from the party scene and from any sort of controversy, so I'd say weak, unvalued Fe. He seems very friendly and also very concerned with how entertaining he is, giving off a kind of "am I boring you?" puppy dog vibe, which is keeping in line with Fe role. He lives modestly for someone of his means, driving a Nissan Maxima and living in a two-bedroom house by himself, and he says he became an actor in order to make money, so I'd say strong Te.
That's all a bit contrived, but LIE is my best guess.
I agree, extroversion does seem very likely for those reasons.
Now when I think about it and after discojoe's analysis, LIE would make sense too. More so then ISTp anyways...
