how has socionics affected your life?

Socionics gives me something to think about. I'm never completely bored any more. On the downside it takes away some of my consciousness from doing every day tasks, which can be a bitch.

Relationships just do not go like socionics says they should in many cases; relationships are too dependent on a lot of other factors to work or not work well to state the obvious. I believe even conflictors with certain qualities in common can have a far better relationship than duals without certain commonalities and world view. This makes the whole intertype relations thing far too complicated to be all that useful to me.

IME relationships generally go far better than socionics predict, except when there is authority of any kind. When there's authority, relationships always go wrong and there's a lot of fighting even between duals. When everybody is placed on equal terms, everything's harmonious.
