Compared to the INTps and INTjs I know, he looks much more INTp, especially the eyes.

I don't know, he just looks high to me.

Why? Is it because of relations?

If he is intp then your relations are contrary if you are entp and if you are enfp they are illusionary.

If you are entp and he is intj then you have mirror relations. If you are enfp and he is intj then you are his supervisee.

Don't fret. I was in an illusionary relationship once, it was ok.

I'm not an ENFp! I wouldn't be concerned about illusionary relations. I get along with INFps very well. What I am concerned about is how things have gotten progressively worse between us over the last year, particularly the last 6 months.

He never does anything or goes anywhere. I don't even take him to family functions. He's always been rather leisurely, but in the past year it's gone beyond exceptable perimeters. And I could even deal with all of that if I still felt a connection with him. It seems we're getting more distant as time goes on. I've been telling myself that it's becuase he's depressed. I don't know.

What keeps me with him? Trust me, it has NOTHING to do with beig married. Marriage is simply registering your relationship with the government. This is what keeps me with him.

I've never posted this photo before because it's likely the worst photo of me ever, but it's a picture of the day we decided to get married. We used to be VERY connected. I don't leave because I know what it's like to be depressed. No one is a good partner when they're depressed. I believe things will be better again...

    Adderall.

When he had no energy to get out of bed in the morning or do anything at all, I took him to the doctor to rule out physical causes. The doctor did some tests and then gave him Lexapro. He refuses to take any meds or supplements to improve his depression. It's like he's gone into autopilot.

He doesn't want the depression to lift _because_ he's depressed. I was the same exact way.

That, to me, would be the bottom line. As long as you can handle it, it's fine to be supportive. But when it gets to you, you cannot be supportive.

And you know, he might get irritated when you suggest things and insist on something, but hey, that's the reality of relationships. Regardless of types and depression, you cannot have it your way all the way. It doesn't work that way. Relationships are about compromises.

He might come around and I'm not suggesting to drop him or to apply severe pressure. I'm just saying that you have needs, too, and that you need to look after yourself. And ideally, he should look after your needs as well, especially when he feels less low...
