    Default Bob Ross

Afro'ed painter dude. He's awesome. I've always found his show oddly soothing.

I watched all three parts of that painting, and it was very tranquil. And some of the stuff he says is really funny.

    I'd say ISFp...

agree w/ last two. as far as i ever got into naming colors was "cyan." "sap green" is far too much for me to process.

clearly Si dominant, with all that emphasis on relaxation, specific instructions, not worrying, and such innocuities as "happy clouds."

    SEI-Si or SLI-Si.

'yeah i think i'll put this back here.' 'hmm.. maybe some little trees over here, oh yeah, that's a nice place for some little trees.'

I think Si dominants are inclined to speak in first person during instructions, whereas an istj giving a painting instructions would sounds more like, "now you do this, you do that..' etc. I like Ross' style, but he could be little bit less of a bitch. I need to learn to paint, but I need the discipline first. When's Bob going to teach me to be a man?

on second thought, i see enough babble about relationships and other people to justify SEI.

Yeah, I didn't realize he'd been dead for 12 years until just yesterday, lol. I did know he had his own line of art supplies that cost three times as much as all the other brands. I buy his paints sometimes, because they hold up pretty well and don't get that gross oil separation as often.

    I agree with ISFp.

    Default Bob Ross

I went on YouTube to try and find a video with Bob Ross in it, but I couldn't. I don't know if you've seen him. His show can be seen on PBS. He was the most soothing television personality around. I loved watching his show when I went to bed. I'm not good at typing people, but I'm almost certain that he's an ISFp. If you've seen his show, tell me what you think.

yes, clearly ISFp. sweet, soothing voice and manner. much like the new girl, melix. "dancing clouds and happy mistakes." i like him but when i've watched his show, i always thought "put a little more umph in it, a little more "out of the boxness" into it...

Not much of an opportunity to interact with his facial energies.....from his voice alone he seems far more ISTp (Si Subtype) than ISFp.....(even though his discipline --in Art-- can be attributed in some ways to ISFpism).....thats all i'll say for now......get me a picture of the man's face...i dont have public television LOL

I must admit though that in that one pic way, way up above he does look ISFp fwiw.

Sooo relaxing, makes everything so easy I could watch him for hours, it's really peaceful.
SEI for sure, all the aesthetic descriptions going on + Fe emotional interjections (Jamie Oliver does that as well)
Some 296 tritype, maybe 926... sp/so makes sense, very synflow. Occupied with SP resources, painting, displayed for others (SO).

"I was the guy who makes you scrub the latrine, the guy who makes you make your bed, the guy who screams at you for being late to work. The job requires you to be a mean, tough person. And I was fed up with it. I promised myself that if I ever got away from it, it wasn't going to be that way anymore."
    http://www.military.com/veteran-jobs...-bob-ross.html

Bob Ross is known for producing beautiful landscapes, his soft-spoken demeanor, and bushy facial hair. Whenever anyone mentions the joy they get from painting, it's tough not to think of Ross smiling at a camera and filling hundreds of canvases with happy clouds, secret trees, and accidental bushes. Even if you aren't a student of art, putting on an episode of "The Joy of Painting" will lull anyone into a total state of serenity. What many people don't know is that one of the biggest influences on Ross's persona and painting technique was the twenty years he spent in the Air Force, especially his time as a drill sergeant

Heh watching those videos reminds me of my total blindness when it comes to scenery.

Just watching it with my mouth open that is right, totally open. First it was open just a tiny then just a little bit, that's right and later it got wider and wider. Then it was so open you see...

Interessting fact: Bob Ross was a drill sergeant in the US Air Force.

I assume he can use much more under different circumstances.

I guess he can't drill brushes and paint on the canvas solely, he can drill people too.

    A SEI drill sergeant. Hmm.
