I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Well, if I had to rate both types it would be E5>SLI in that case, because my Enneagram type closely describes approaches and views which are deeply rooted in my personality whereas I can find some things which aren't obviously correct in common SLI descriptions (but still, it's the most accurate Socionics type for me).No, whenever I read the description for 5s, I think of you actually.

Come to think of it, I really like Gilly... despite his occasionally obnoxious temperament, which is quite easy to tolerate/handle once you get to know him a little better.

Yeah, I think of myself typologically as Sx/Sp > 6w5 > Fi > ENFp. Instinct stacking really tells me a lot about how people interact with others and is usually the most immediately perceivable personality trait.
For me, NeFi and some of the reinin traits > enneagram.

I've read through some of the Enneagram stuff, but not nearly enough to consider myself anything of a source on the subject.

Or just help me with it, either way. That's the one thing I'm particularly shit at and never really decided on my own. Different sites have different definitions of each one so I just gave up in frustration.
I think you could be a 3 because one of the descriptions used the word "workaholism". If you disagree, it means I don't know you very well, or maybe that I don't know the enneagram very well. Perhaps. I feel that my opinions about you cannot compare to your own opinions about yourself. If WorkaholicsAnon has any ideas about her enneatype, please let me know.
My impression of you from the first video you posted plus some of your post testimonials was that Sx/Sp seemed likely. If you wanna talk more about it we can take this to PM if you want.

It's good that you mention how you are more naturally a person pleaser. The evidence that only you can supply is the only way to help type you. Therefore, do not be offended when we mischaracterize and misunderstand you, or when we seem flimsy and grasping. It can only be unlikely for us to know you well, and our disagreements give us more to work with.
Kim's diagnosis of 9 makes some sense, perhaps with an 8 wing. A 3 would perhaps succeed on his own forceful hubris, while you might rather want only to satisfy the people around you. The 8 wing could then maybe represent your willpower and stamina. I don't really sense any reforming 1-ish nature in you, but I would want more of your own opinion.
Dude, I don't know why you haven't read enneagram. I EXPECT you to read enneagram. You don't need very much background to help us discuss your possible type.
