I'm now waiting for someone to say I'm not SLI.

That's a scary thought given that those who suggest that you are not SLI insist that you are LSI. I will drive you to your grave.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. Well, if I had to rate both types it would be E5>SLI in that case, because my Enneagram type closely describes approaches and views which are deeply rooted in my personality whereas I can find some things which aren't obviously correct in common SLI descriptions (but still, it's the most accurate Socionics type for me).

It's the opposite for me. SLI > any E-type.

Come to think of it, I really like Gilly... despite his occasionally obnoxious temperament, which is quite easy to tolerate/handle once you get to know him a little better.

Yeah, I think of myself typologically as Sx/Sp > 6w5 > Fi > ENFp. Instinct stacking really tells me a lot about how people interact with others and is usually the most immediately perceivable personality trait.

Is this a poll? I'm more than likely 9w1, if it is. Those who a) know the Enneagram plus b) have met me in person plus c) have talked to me about it have agreed. Granted, that's a grand total of two people so far, but still...

I've read through some of the Enneagram stuff, but not nearly enough to consider myself anything of a source on the subject.

This reminds me how much I love how complex and diverse people are. No matter the map, the actual terrain is so much richer.
Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.

Or just help me with it, either way. That's the one thing I'm particularly shit at and never really decided on my own. Different sites have different definitions of each one so I just gave up in frustration.

I think you could be a 3 because one of the descriptions used the word "workaholism". If you disagree, it means I don't know you very well, or maybe that I don't know the enneagram very well. Perhaps. I feel that my opinions about you cannot compare to your own opinions about yourself. If WorkaholicsAnon has any ideas about her enneatype, please let me know.

My impression of you from the first video you posted plus some of your post testimonials was that Sx/Sp seemed likely. If you wanna talk more about it we can take this to PM if you want.

oh, well i would describe myself as a workaholic only when forced to be one, but otherwise seeking ways to slack and relax..That's why i named myself workaholicsanon i.e. Workaholics Anonymous, i.e. a recovering workaholic

I dont want people going by keywords or terms that ring a bell of some sort, i want people to go by gestalt.

I'm not really too well versed in enneagram, so i'm not really sure what enneatype I am... that's why i wondered what impression others got... especially those who have delved into enneagram more than i have.

You expect to trust people's typings of you?

It's good that you mention how you are more naturally a person pleaser. The evidence that only you can supply is the only way to help type you. Therefore, do not be offended when we mischaracterize and misunderstand you, or when we seem flimsy and grasping. It can only be unlikely for us to know you well, and our disagreements give us more to work with.

Kim's diagnosis of 9 makes some sense, perhaps with an 8 wing. A 3 would perhaps succeed on his own forceful hubris, while you might rather want only to satisfy the people around you. The 8 wing could then maybe represent your willpower and stamina. I don't really sense any reforming 1-ish nature in you, but I would want more of your own opinion.
