    Default Fidgeting with objects

I know this person who's always fidgeting with things. For example, in a restaurant he'll continuously move the straw in the cup in an up and down motion and he'll play with his napkin and straw wrapper. If he's got change in his pocket, he'll jiggle it around. He tends to this when he's nervous or bored. I'm kind of like this guy but to a lesser extreme. I used to fidget a lot more with things. Now that I'm more aware of it, I do it less.

Are there certain types who are more likely to resort to fidgeting with objects as a means of keeping occupied or releasing some nervous energy?

I fiddle with things when I'm excited or nervous or just have an excess of energy for whatever reason, yeah. but it's not like all the time or anything.

I don't fiddle; I'm very calm on the outside.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

I don't either but that's because I haven't gotten around yet to learning how to play one.
