    Default laghlagh's type

well. i am making a type thread.

i am pretty sure about my type, but i feel compelled to start a type thread for several reasons. partly because i am curious about what people think. partly for the luls. partly because i have been sitting all snug and comfy in my type for the last couple of years without discussing it with anyone and it only seems right to put it out there to air out... especially considering socionics is a social system.

i think i've been showing a fair amount of Fe on the forum. i often find it really difficult to communicate without the use of emoticons and random "lols" cause i just need to get the tone right. but irl my intertype relations play out to make me Fi/Te valuing...assuming i'm typing people correctly, of course. i can come across as pretty distant in real life, whereas i find myself being much more ingratiating and openly friendly here on the forum. and i find myself wondering what people here are making of that as it regards to my type.

as far as vi... when i first started posting here i told myself i was never going to post photos, lol. but i'm starting to feel a little more comfortable and i'm considering it. but i don't want this thread to be a strictly vi thread, so if i do post photos, i want to wait until i get some replies and the thread gets rolling a bit. (you can see this as "will pimp photos for posts" if you wish. it's not guaranteed though.)

i don't really feel like going into a monologue about why i'm EII because i don't really know where to start. (plus i'm sort of lazy. ) so please shoot some questions at me? or comments, or whatever.

Honestly i've been sort of inclined to suggest you're IEE, but i dont know. I guess you do come across similarly to April. But you remind me a lot of myself, however i do go back and forth about whether i think i'm EII sometimes too. Then again, I am Fi-subtype so that could explain things.

You're big-boned! Congrats; that makes you unique here. You look like EII is possible (though your picts don't proclaim it; they very seldom do), so you're free to be my dual.

I've never made a type thread... Should I?

    Here you go :

I used these before, I think they're good general, open-ended questions. Just note that these specific questions aren't important. What is important is describing yourself, so feel free to run with anything you want to mention.

    Who are you?
    What are you interests?
What do you do for a living?
Are you in school? How do/did you like it?
    Future goals? Past experiences?
    What are your friends like?
What would you say the focal point of your life is?
    Beliefs? General thoughts about w/e?
How would you describe yourself compared to others?
    How would others describe you?

when i woke up this morning, i nearly hyperventilated remembering everything i shared here. i considered getting on and just deleting it all. now that i've gotten some caffeine in my system and cleared out the early morning clarity, i feel slightly assuaged. i still think i'll probably delete, but i'm going to try to be brave and wait for some response before i do. if i don't have a heart attack first, that is. (no pressure!!!)

    1. when i said i have a better sense of the past than the present, i thought that might be associated with Ni (even though although i can better conceptualize the past, this isn't true for the future).

    2. the stuff about acting out and self-destructing could be stereotypically viewed as "not delta."

    3. the part about falling out of touch with friends and even with the idea of having friends, which could i think could be seen as poor Fi.

    4. the stuff about enjoying my friend's ability to pull me out of my shell; again, i think this could be associated with Ni or maybe poor ethics or something (but i think its probably more related to introversion, idk?)

One isn't necessarily Ni. Could be N>S, but not that indicative of anything really.

    Anyone can be self-destructive.

Three could be seen as poor Fi, but if I remember correctly you went talking about your focus on your family right after. If it's indicative of anything maybe Enneagram So-last.

Four isn't strongly indicative of anything, maybe if you were self typing ESFx, it might stick out.

When I read it, there was nothing that made me question EII. As far as what I would say with great certainty is that you are a feeling type. My gut says EII, but not based on a whole lot. I don't see anything contradicting it tho.

Why do you think you're falling out of the idea of having friends?

i'm not really sure how to answer that without the trauma of tmi-ing again, haha. but i'm thinking its probably not type-related, although i can't be sure.

i'm wondering about the reasons behind what makes you think i'm a feeling type and why your gut says EII. if its kind of intuitive and you don't have an answer, that's ok though.

It's mostly based on impression. You seem to have a personableness to you, if that's even a word. You come off sensitive and naturally tactful. Overall you just come off very sweet and sincere. Idk how else I can explain it really. It would be really surprising to me if you turned out to be a T-type. I'm inclined to think Fi-base and probably not ISFj.

    Here:

    Take my easy test:

Please do discuss your favorite flavors of ice cream and try to include as much information as to what about them that you like. You can even do this extensively with just one or two.
    -
    Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

my favorite ice cream is bear creek caramel by kemps.

i haven't had it in awhile but i will try to give as much information based on memory as i can.

first, the packaging is very convenient and the lid is easy to open.

i usually wait a few minutes after scooping and before eating, so the ice cream melts a little. that way, when i put the spoon into the ice cream, it glides through without effort. i take small bites and i prefer to hold the spoon upside down in my mouth so that the ice cream slides against my tongue. the coolness of the ice cream gives a bit of a pleasant jolt, and the feel of the cold metal of the spoon against my upper lip enhances the sensation.

i enjoy the variation present in the ice cream, the smooth neutrality of the vanilla interspersed with the hard ridges of the chocolate cups. and once the barrier of the chocolate cup is gently split open with the tongue, another flow of smoothness bursts forth in the form of the sweet caramel inside. these different textures and flavors mixed together form something interesting and pleasant to taste.

    soo...

Please do discuss your favorite flavors of ice cream and try to include as much information as to what about them that you like. You can even do this extensively with just one or two.
This is a GREAT idea for a test. So i created a new thread, where everyone can tell about their icecream preferences and tell each other!

Yip that is what i expect from an INFj/ENFp, not to much detail, unless they want to get into story writing. Probably are one of those two types.

i've gotten the IEE suggestion before and i'm slightly open to the idea. i don't mind it because it sort of seems, well, "close enough," lol. like if someone were to suggest some radically different type for me i would worry that i was expressing myself poorly or that i was being misunderstood. but with the IEE typing i don't really worry about that.

i do notice myself using Ne more than i notice myself using Fi, but i've attributed this to having Fi as a base function and being less aware of its use because it colors everything. whereas Ne is more like something that i use in a pretty conscious way and i think i can modulate it more.

my boyfriend is SLI and i think that the temperament difference is the one thing that seems to come up for us consistently. like i'll try to pin down a plan - "how about we do X on saturday?" - and he'll respond with something noncomittal like, "well, i'll see how i feel about it on saturday." and it drives me NUTS, lol. it took me awhile to realize that he wasn't just being willfully obstinate and trying to rile me up or something...that he really did want to just wait and see how he felt. because the concept was just kind of foreign and weird to me..like how do you get things done that way?

i wonder if i might come across more like an IEE due to adapting myself to him in our relationship. (we've been together for 8 years, since i was 18.)

    more IJ-ish things:

-i've actually gotten chastised at work for being "too thorough" and thereby slowing down the process and frustrating people because i caught too many "minor" errors in their work.

-i used to alphabetize all of my CDs and books and movies, and furthermore i really ENJOYED doing it. like sitting there and making sure everything was perfectly arranged was like a HOBBY for me, lol. (this has changed since moving in with the SLI, which could be a point towards the adaptation theory?)

-i always do certain things on certain days. for example, sundays are laundry days. and on the times when other things have ended up coming up last minute on sunday, i have a hard time enjoying myself because i can't get the thought of the laundry schedule getting messed up out of my mind.

    sooo...there's my EII>IEE reasoning.

I really don't think you are IEE fwiw. I remember specifically thinking that before as well when I was reading the wall of text you took off

When it's a casual thing and not an important task or obligation, I don't 'commit' either. Some people expect me to know things in advance and say "I'll be there" or "I can't do it because of that and that", but they don't realize I don't think like that. I never make decisions or fix my mind on one idea/possibility in advance, but let things flow and develop naturally. I always like to keep my options open, and I only commit when I feel 99% certain. Often times people will think I am blowing them off if I don't give them a definite answer, when in actuality I really am not sure and dislike making hasty decisions. But when I say I'll do something or make a promise, I stick to it.
