That stuff is explained in some of Augusta's original papers. Rick had good translations of them in his website. There are also Russian versions available online. You can find links in the entry on her in the Wiki, for instance.

If you really want to understand the background behind the dichotomies, I suggest looking up "field" and "object" on Wikipedia.
Looking at the English meaning of the words we use as Socionics terms almost always causes more confusion than clarity.
