I began to mix (DJ) in 2007 approximately, my first aim in life when it come for music was to compose but I didn't think I was having sufficient knowledge, patience to stay behind a PC and try to make something out of boring software.
I feel really compelled to make a post because I began actual music production and this is fucking awesome, I'm enjoying this 1000%. I hope making some vinyl releases in the next two years. At this moment I didn't compose any full song, just two "draft", including one that I should end next week (the more break one... Hem the two are break, let's say the less acid one). This is fucking great. And I succeed in makin not too repetitive stuff, stuff like I wan't, I don't feel trapped like sometime as a DJ. Awesome. Fucking awesome. Even if it have absolutely no place in this forum.
I began some month ago with an introduction in order to announce to my listener (as a DJ) that I stop procrastinating and begin to do real music :

The speach is from Thimothy Leary.
In the next months, I managed to create some idea wich was possibly releasable, not impossible to make with software (it's really easy to imagine song impossible to actually create).
So, months after, and some trial after, some note writed on paper for future tracks, I actually began what I was seeing at this moment as the most profitable track I can make (this was this one or a techno industrial track with tibetan sample, but I was planning to use the intro just posted before as the intro of the following track, this would be cool for a first records). Ive done a "draft" of the end of this track, the beginning of the track will be my introduction. Style : acid, break. I hope finishing it in the two months coming.

And this week end I said fuck off, I was struggling to make the beginning of the previous mentionned track, so I began another track in order to test the vst "morphine" from fruity loops. I was planning to make an unremarkable music only track, but at the end I spent 24h non stop behind my pc for making a break/melodic track that is still not finished, but will be probably finished next week.

I really like the feeling of this track, I hope I'll find a good end. Don't expect well rounded stuff, I like when it rock, it burn, it smell, bad random distortion, gates on break, too much reverb.
YAY !!!! CREATIVITY IS THE MEANING OF LIFE LOL
(my soundcloud account for mix is not zattwaks, it's : https://soundcloud.com/no_idsc . I was using the other one for records identification, now I use it for production.)
BONUS :
this is the kind of kick you can do with the vst microtronic if you push it a bit to its limit :
