I'm not surprised. I'd love it if I found one. I think there's a very,
very slight chance that he is an IEI, but I personally think IJ is more likely, so I'll go with LSI > IEI. To be completely honest with you, I don't actually know what he is - I haven't even narrowed down a quadra yet.
I'd love it if I found an SLE. I wish we could tell the type of a person just by looking at them. Though SLEs do all seem to swagger...at least in my experience, now I just need an excuse to speak to them ! Does he get along with your other housemates?
There was a thread about him a while ago. People thought SF. He is definitely SF. Since then, I've recognised that he's the antithesis of Se/Ni. He is probably ESE, although SEI is possible. I love spending time with him... for about half an hour (
unless he's drunk, then +45mins). Then he becomes a pain.
lol!
That's what I learned, a year too late. I got to A2, and I asked the dumbest question in the world "Ohhh, AS actually counts then!?" I had
no idea that it did, so I did less work than I should've done.
I'd give you some hints about what you should write to get an A, but I got a C, so that wouldn't be appropriate, haha.
LOL. Thanks for telling me that, ha, I am blowing so much stuff off, if I keep it up I am going to fail the whole year, I keep spacing on how important this year is .
In literature? In my first year, Wilde's
A Woman of No Importance, which I quite liked. We studied a novel called
Spies, which we all hated so much I can't remember the author's name. We also studied Shakespeare's
The Tempest, which was okay. In the second year, We studied Ken Kesey's
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, which was awesome, and Sylvia Plath's
The Bell Jar, which I also liked quite a bit. We studied
Hamlet and watched the film, which was cool.
Hmm, yeah the Tempest isn't one of his best. I prefer Marlowe to Shakespeare! Have you read any of his stuff? Though I do love Othello and Romeo and Julliet! One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest - what is that about?
I got an A. I actually loved it, and the people just as much. We went to Belgium in my first year which I really enjoyed.
Oh nice xD! Ooo Belgium, I'd love to go there, sounds amazing!
Coincidentally, I was discussing this with my EIE best friend today. We decided I wasn't enjoying philosophy, and should've done history instead. Part of me was put off initially by the fact that it required AAB, which I wasn't totally confident I would achieve (and hey, what do you know, I didn't). Also, I was just kind of set on philosophy for some odd reason. I think I wanted flexibility, and it's offered me that. However, as I've matured, I've wished that I'd a) given myself
more flexibility by taking a science, like chemistry, and b) taken something else, haha.
Lol . Oh dear, that bums...what year of uni are you in, are you just going to keep it up? What do you want to do when you leave uni (roughly ^-^)? Do you live with your EIE friend?
It really,
really isn't.
If you enjoy the study of language and meaning of words ad nauseum, study at your pleasure. If not, steer
well away from it.
Oh, yikes! Really?! But it looked so interesting! Thank you for telling me this, I was actually thinking about taking it!
Lovely. I have a love/hate relationship with ethics. On the one hand, it's utterly pointless to talk about what one
should do, because one can never prove this, and all it amounts to is "well, I believe x!" vs. "well, I believe y!", and belief can't be argued about in this situation. On the other hand, I just play the game, baby, and I get some decent marks for doing so.
Yes lol, I love debating and hate debating about ethics (which is all we seem to do since we started the topic!), because as you say, it is all just opinions and opinions are just extensions of ego so no matter if ones argument makes more sense than anothers, the other will never back down, it gives me a headache and some of them are so ignorant (though I love how diverse everyone in the class is, most of them are fucking awesome)! I enjoy it because it pulls me out of myself and these are the kind of things I want to talk more about, but my friends are always like -what?!- lol ^-^!
Tell me about it. Even in socionics terms, I can't see how an MBTI ENFP could also be an SLE in socionics. Nonetheless, as I grew older, I became far more Thinking, to the point where on some MBTI tests, I actually get 100% Thinking. I also became staunchly Judging. Now, when I take the tests, I'm some variation of a TJ. Rarely will I get Introverted, but some people perceive me as so (there's a Facebook application called MyType which allows you to see what others' perceptions of you are). I'm curiously balanced on the S/N dichotomy, leading me to question my type a lot between ESTJ and ENTJ. Since then I've realised that ENTJ fits slightly better. (Most Eights are ExTJ, although there are large number of INTJ Eights. Of course, none of that translates into socionics. ESTJ, ENTJ and INTJ Eights are all most likely SLEs. The ExTP Eights are most likely SEEs.)
Oh that's interesting! I hear that SLEs come in the Three variety, I wouldn't have thought that that correlated! What would you say are common etypes for ISTjs?
I only really know the Enneagram in depth, I want to learn more about Socionics, but I prefer to read books rather than learn from the net and there are like no good books on the topic!
100%? Whoa...hmm, though I guess you couldn't totally trust others perceptions with the Facebook MyType application as I don't think most people really understand what those words mean, like I just typed my sister as an introvert, and she became very defensive because she related it to being socially inept. Ugh, this is also why I HATE that BigFive shit, or whatever it is, have you heard of that? It's something about winners having 'desirebale' traits, one of the traits is openess and another one is extroversion, it's like people use words wihtout even understanding the meaning of them! That's why I don't like telling people about socionics; they probaly don't care, they don't understand based on what little I can tell them and it kind of devalues the individual.
She's either ESE or IEE. I know that's random, but that's what I've boiled it down to. Whatever she is, she's good with people, and her fiancee is probably her dual.
LOL. That is pretty random! What do you think about her fiancee, maybe that will help you decide her type?
Also, are you watching (the new) Skins? I think the characters are dimensional enough to type ! Though not with the first episode only =).
