My typing 7w6 741 sp/sx/so. (I will post parts of my test/answer at the bottom of this post, because I would like feedback on what the experts think of the descriptions.)
I think I've an idea of one of the problems I have had in figuring out my enneatype.
I always seem to test sp first, so last. But when sx is described as including one's interests, seeking say mental stimulation as well, then I know for sure that that overrides the sp. So I would switch the stacking to represent that. But now I recognize that that is probably more related to e7.
I had selftyped as e6 because I most definitely identify with the Head Center. And the past 20 years has been a whirlwhind of anxiety, questioning, doubt, insecurity, etc. i know i seek security, in both body and mind. But it turns out that that might be more related to SP than e6, especially since I've always had problems with half of the e6 descriptions regarding duty, loyalty, authority, etc.
A couple of months or so ago I started looking back on my life prior to the past 20 years, and i can clearly see that I was definitely e7. But over time I had lost my joy, got weighed down by the anxieties and duties to helping my daughter be ready and capable of living on her own and supporting herself, and survivng this world. And now that she is grown up, i've been relaxing back into myself, though with an unfortunate still chaotic mind. It won't shut up. So, still head center.
And, I started feeling like I was confusing e7 as sx.
And now, seeing this test, I'm confident that i'm e7 not sx first. And that many people who've tried typing my instinct stacking have ignored the idea that a headtype isn't a gut type nor a heart type. A head type SP is going to worry more and be anxious about SP stuff, without necessarily doing the typical pursuits for tangible resources or the dinners for groups, or expressing their love through cooking, etc.
In summary, for now, I'm satisfied with the typing of 741 sp/sx as portrayed through this particular test/descriptions. That does not mean that other people's or site descriptions will fit as well. (That's another problem I have with the enneagram, but nor for this thread.)
