Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?
I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Beta, I think.
Actor- INFp, prob Creative Subtype. He's obviously introverted. When casting him as a boy, the director described him as an 'ethereal', 'contemplative', 'sensitive', 'artistic-type'. That sounds...very INFp.
Director-Given that he cast an INFp...he's probably beta. He seems ESTp. the more contemplative subtype. he described 2 sides of himself when he was younger- one artistic, solitary type (like the actor)--- the other begin outgoing, hanging out with boisterous boys and playing football, etc.
I just watched this film today -- it's okay at best. I just found out about it a couple of days ago because it's playing at a small local theater. Only after seeing it did I google it to find out the degree of hype it has gotten. The entire film is structured around a gimmick. I just found it to be long and bland -- some parts were funny and poignant, others not so much. Watch the Seven Up documentary series for a more interesting and far more innovative use of the ideas employed by Linklater. I do however like Linklater -- especially his film Bernie.
I thought the film was really good! It was interesting to see them grow up and just feel like the characters were really real. A few points were overly cliched and the story didn't go anyway, but it's an emotional journey to see these people grow up, including the parents.
No idea about types. Boy actor's voice got annoying when he got old.

Like, what's it about? Would I like it? Somebody sell it to me.
