The Broken Window Fallacy
Originally posited by Claude Frédéric Bastiat (1801-1850) in his infamous work That Which is Seen, and That Which is Not Seen (1850), the parable of the broken window sets the stage for every imaginable objection to market interventionism, and especially taxation.
