But apart from that, the point is that most of the people there were his wife (Michelle Pfeiffer), and his sister, his best friend, and other close ones.

The way it seemed to be something of a time line highlighting success and relationships was the part that seemed Gamma to me. The way they walked around in a group like that and the way they carried themselves seemed more Beta (as did the showing off). It was like a Gamma went through and highlighted what he saw as the significant things about a Beta movie.
