Default Labcoatian materials gathered in one thread

Labcoatian socionics is a vacuous concept that doesn't mean or represent much of anything. I write stuff that is supposed to be useful to people regardless of what interpretation of socionics they use. In any case here are links to all threads on theoretical issues that I have started on the forum since I joined this place.

Object/field and how it is overrated and might not exist
I am not as confident of the fact that Object/Field doesn't exist as I used to be. I do still consider it's importance to be overstated in most places.

all information is transmitted in Dynamic form
Also something I don't have as strong an opinion on as I used to. Things are more complex that I used to think they were.

This is also the place where you can ask any questions that you might have about labcoatian materials and their content.

The fact that half of the people around here aren't even aware of the existance of Limiting/Empowering is depressingly backwards. You can not understand socionics without knowledge of Limiting/Empowering. There is no more than a handful of posters on the forum whoose understanding of the theory is worthy of basic respect. Let's put some small steps towards reversing the trend in this thread.

Your understanding of socionics seems to be at least more useful than that of smilingeyes or tcaudillg.

What are your 5 most important hypotheses or opinions? Let's see if I can figure it out...

    - Limiting/Empowering is an important new dichotomy...?
    - People should look at functions in terms of Pi, Pe, Ji, Je...?
    - People use Rational/Irrational in an inappropriate way...?
    - Some Reinin dichotomies are underestimated, other should be abolished...?
    - All information is transmitted in dynamic form...?

To be honest, I'm not really sure if you are really INTj. That's why I don't trust your ideas completely. Reasons:
1.) It's hard for me to figure out the main points, the key concepts in your writings...
2.) Your ideas do not sound overly convincing to me...
3.) I often get the impression that you complicate the trivial points and leave out the important ones. That's typical of quasi-identity, INTj - INTp...
4.) I think you said that you are more perceiving than most other INTjs...
5.) You change your avatar very often. That's typical of perceiving types like polikujm...
6.) you seem to be more serious than merry, criticized me for using smilies
7.) You criticize sometimes "with a dose of biliousness" - buddhism or knowledge assessment or other stuff...

I would be really interested in seeing some pictures of you for V.I...

    - Limiting/Empowering is an important new dichotomy...?
Yes. Limiting/Empowering is the dichotomy pertaining to functions (not types) using which you can understand how Accepting/Creating creates interaction between the function positions in the model A. It is the only theory currently available that offers a means of understanding the difference between the base and creative function.

Smilingeyes was the first to use this dichotomy and should be credited with finding and naming the dichotomy.

    - People should look at functions in terms of Pi, Pe, Ji, Je...?
This can be useful sometimes. I am not the only who ever does this.

    - People use Rational/Irrational in an inappropriate way...?
There are several claims commonly being made about this dichotomy that are worthy of suspicion. This dichotomy is no different from any other in this regard.

    - Some Reinin dichotomies are underestimated, other should be abolished...?
Process/Result and Static/Dynamic are the only ones that are really useful in the sense that they exist and provide something beyond what classical socionics offers.

Maybe also Positivist/Negativist and maybe maybe maybe Taciturn/Narrator.

    - All information is transmitted in dynamic form...?
The difference between Dynamic and Static information is very important to my views. Dynamic information is flat and taken at face value, it is interpretation-invariant. Static information is voluminous and concerns things behind-the-scenes. It is interpretation-dependent. The stuff about transmission of information is no longer something I support.

To be honest, I'm not really sure if you are really INTj.
I'm not interested in discussing this topic. I am INTj and if you can not accept that, any communication between you and me will be a complete waste of time.

I feel this way about almost every other INTj and INTp on the forum. It's a very common sentiment. The amount of diversity within a single type is very easy to underestimate.

At the same time?? I don't think so. Pessimistic or optimistic?? It depends what's at stake IMO. What do you think?

when one tends to shift randomly and quickly between despair and joy regarding a specific question
    something like this, ha??

    It's just a mentality.

The state is pessimistic in regard to the objective world, and optimistic in regard to one's position within said world. The state is perceived to be both a roadblock and a conclusion of one's efforts. I stand by everything I say in that statement. There are few things in socionics that I feel as satisfied to describe with precision as that principle.

    something like this, ha??
Where is it from? Smilingeyes? I think there are several issues in socionics that can give rise to that kind of sensation so I'm hessistant to say they are linked 1 on 1.

To decide one's efforts are concluded is a personal choice, not an objective circumstance. One could argue that the Dynamics' way of staying optimistic about the amount of understanding that can still be gathered is the more "rational" choice. The two simply give rise to different oppurtunities and personal abilities, though, and the general trend is that diversity and mutual complementation benefits the world at large so the existence of different positions on the topic is something good.
