But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...
Everybody do what you want.
Make love and evade taxes!
Moonlight will fall
Winter will end
Harvest will come
Your heart will mend

Hi Joy. I kinda missed you a little. I thought you said we were all scum of the earth.
And make out with (or at least snuggle) cute Asian girls! You know you want to.
I missed you too!
Nah, I most definitely don't think you're all scum of the earth. That's not how I roll. There's a bunch of you that I think are friggin awesome. <3 It's the community as a whole, the premise behind it, and the self-loathing/insecure members with nothing better to do with their time and energy than participate in intellectual pissing contests and aren't happy unless they're attacking someone that I think are incredibly toxic. But whateva. Their problem, not mine. I visit when I feel like it and wander off when I feel like it. After all, the people who kinda miss me a little know how to find me. (:
STAND AND FIGHT YOU COWARD
Joy how can you be such a wuss? You know its all a game.

Yeah. Yup, those who are hostile and never say anything constructive or that I find interesting get put on ignore. But even then there are usually a bunch of responses to it from people whose posts I generally do prefer to read. The toxic atmosphere affects everyone to some degree, even if the worst of the trolls are on some people's ignore lists.
I prefer not to be cranky. You can't make me.

Joy, didn't you have a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson (or someone else) in your signature a while back?
https://www.lewrockwell.com/2021/01/...r-for-decades/
"Fascism is the system of government that cartelizes the private sector, centrally plans the economy to subsidize producers, exalts the police state as the source of order, denies fundamental rights and liberties to individuals, and makes the executive state the unlimited master of society.
This describes mainstream politics in America today. And not just in America. It’s true in Europe, too. It is so much part of the mainstream that it is hardly noticed anymore.
If fascism is invisible to us, it is truly the silent killer. It fastens a huge, violent, lumbering state on the free market that drains its capital and productivity like a deadly parasite on a host. This is why the fascist state has been called the vampire economy. It sucks the economic life out of a nation and brings about a slow death of a once thriving economy."
yup ^_^
a few of my favorite quotations:
"It ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can GET hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winnin' is done!" -Rocky Balboa
"Do, or do not. There is no 'try'." -Jedi Master Yoda.
"A man is what he thinks about all day long." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Self-trust is the first secret of success." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
"We do not sing because we are happy, we are happy because we sing." -William James
"Failure is only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently." -Henry Ford
"Every self respecting human being should do sufficient work every day to make his sleep restful and sweet, and his rising up fresh and bright." -James Allen
"It is not the actions and behavior of the good man that must be matched but his point of view. Outer reforms are useless unless the inner state is changed. Success is gained not by imitating the outer actions of the successful but by right inner actions and inner talking... you are what you are by the virtue of the state of consciousness from which you think and view the world." -Neville Goddard

To me your quotes give me an impression of a Dynamic Ego and Static seeking. It sounds like a good tracking of one's deeds but lacking identity and meaning (who you are, what's your value), in opposition to having a good identity but doubting one's accomplishments (what you can actually do). The following quotes, synthetic and black box, reveal Dynamic conscious and Static unconscious:
While the two aspects represent reality equally well, only one can be consciously considered, the other being subdued (in our case the Static information is subdued, in red). Not saying that out of any context the quotes render anyone dealing with them a Dynamic Ego, IMO could be strong or valued Te or/and Si as well, or simply some formal deductions. They lack consideration for structure, hierarchy, relations or framework, and picture intrinsic qualities as purely emergent. As I said, at any given moment, a person (regardless of type, which is merely a persistent preference) can focus only on one of the two while dismissing, but at the same time indirectly implying the other (http://www.the16types.info/vbulletin...l=1#post822431).
I said "Static seeking" because the collection sounds to me like a set of mantras for self-sufficiency, filling a void using "self-evident" outcomes. Although if we take most of them literally, a sense of cynism and confidence emerges, this to me points to a lack of security in making evaluations of the meaning of one's actions. Then the last quote is apparently contradictory to the others, at least to the two I copied and the ones about the meaning of failure and sufficient work, it makes a surprising apeal to an analytical judgment of the person's inner qualities beyond his/her deeds.
The Good, the Bad, and the Inflammable.
From that list, my favorite quote is --
"It is not the actions and behavior of the good man that must be matched but his point of view. Outer reforms are useless unless the inner state is changed. Success is gained not by imitating the outer actions of the successful but by right inner actions and inner talking... you are what you are by the virtue of the state of consciousness from which you think and view the world.”—Neville Goddard
Besides it being a very good quote and advice, it also reminds me a bit of things my Aunt told me in the past, such as to put my inner world in order and to stop looking for external validation so much. Plus the idea that you can't (truly) help people, or truly love (romantically), etc. if you haven't healed . . .

I think you are strong in Se, but that's about all I can tell. Why do you disagree with those that type you as ESE/LSE?
The only reason I would discount LSE is because you seem too scattered. But I do not think I have enough information to know your type. Just that you are strong in Se, extraverted and are probably not SEE.

Hi Gilly.
So are you like some goth fairy godmother to a clique of college kids now or what
But, for a certainty, back then,

Perhaps, Gilly. Anyway, I bet that Joy will surprise us again some day: with a Robocop outfit, for instance.

nah, that was a last minute halloween costume I threw together. I still have friends of all ages, but I'm mostly hanging out with people in their 30's these days.
Joy is my gothic fairy grandmother. She takes me out to eat and we do fancy things together like eat at restaurants. I try to tuck in a napkin into her gothic collar like a good caregiver should, but she Se's me to the ground and tells me she doesn't need me to do anything for her, as she is quite able to tuck in her own napkin. And then I hire BnD the gay shaman to remove the Se that he so craves and replace it with Ne. And then ENTp Joy and I get married.
